Does anyone know where i can get shakes and bars from other than a counsellor, when i got to my goal weight my counsellor said that she couldnt sell them to me anymore for obvious reasons, im only asking this as i like the bars ans some flavoured shakes and fancy one every now and again

Hi if you have reached goal weight... why can u go back to your CDC to buy products? Im sure they would be happy to supply products to you?

You can continue using the products as long as your BMI is above 20. X

Ah ok guys, thank you, yes my bmi is above 20, i just want to get my mind working agaoin,i feel as if im going to be heading for that "slippery slope"

Yes - you can do Cambridge maintenance, surely? And include as many products as you like?

One thing struck me, though... if your Counsellor maybe suspected or feared, rightly or wrongly, that you might be wanting to lose too much weight, she might have decided (wisely in such circumstances) that she could not ethically sell you any more packs. Obviously I don't know either of you and this could be completely off-track but it's just a thought.

Did you ask your Consultant why she would not supply more? If you are now of 'normal' weight or even slightly under for your height, she may feel that she could not 'safely' sell you any more products. If so she is only looking out for your health and wellbeing.

As far as I know Cambridge is only available through a Consultant. There are very good health and ethical reasons for this.

Good luck with your maintenance!

Basicsally, when i saw my cdc last (longtime ago) i was on the maintenance and still loosing weight and we couldnt work out y, so she asked me to go and see my doc, which i did, in the meantime she spoke to cd head office and it was then that said to stop selling it to me, i dont know why i wasnt given a reason, my bmi has always been above 20 and the results from my doc were in conclusive, so im at a loss really as to y.:(

It does sound, then, as though there was some kind of health concern. If you were still losing weight during maintenance and you 'couldn't work out why' then the Consultant and the Company I am guessing did not want to take any risks with your wellbeing. The doctor did not give any kind of firm reassurance about your continued weight loss and since there could, theoretically, have been an underlying illness or even some kind of eating disorder the Consultant would have been advised to stop selling you the packs.

I'm not saying this was the reason! Obviously I don't know but when someone goes on losing weight for no apparent reason, and the doc cannot explain it either, it would be too risky and unethical to provide you with a fast weight loss diet product. Your ticker says you are 14 pounds under goal weight. That's a lot. Well done on your great losses but it may be time, now, to eat for health and strength and not worry so much about possible regain. I am a bit worried about you, myself! Take good care x
