Ok, I've been battling the bulge for years now and never found a diet I am comfortable or able to stick to. Couple of weeks and it all goes wrong.

This year so far I've done Cambridge, and at the moment I'm trying Dukan but the lack of carbs is driving me nuts.

I'm starting to realise that mad diets is not the answer (for me anyway) and maybe just moderation, sensible choices and a bit more exercise is the right option for me.

I could just be having a low day but short of surgery (which I can't afford) I dont know what else I can do. :-(. I've got about 5st to loose and I just can't see the end in sight.

Anyway moan over :-( thanks for listening x

I somehow just can't do the healthy eating thing where I have to make choices. No will power! My plan is to start tomorrow - new week, new start - and do a sort of Celebrity Slim / Slim Fast hybrid plan and stick to lowish carbs and lots of water.

I find it easier to start with something where the choices are made for me - all I have to pick is the flavour shake / soup and no venturing into the cake and sandwich shop. My hope is that by starting with meal replacements my stomach will shrink and I will learn what actual hunger is compared to emotional / boredom eating.

I want to lose about 4 / 5 stones too! It sounds like such a big goal and is so daunting that I have been putting off starting and so am now heavier than ever.

Awwww, sounds like were in the same boat :). Good luck Hun!

New day for me too tomorrow. I've made a salad to take to work and worked out what I can have until my evening meal. And then it depends if I get on the exercise bike or not.

Did well just now though, instead of just slobbing in front of the tv I used the exercise bike. 650 cals gone! If I can keep it up then itll make it all (hopefully) a bit easier.

Let me know how hoy get on X

I think with all the choices of how you lose weight, you have to think of it as a lifetime change, if you for instance only eat low cal/diet food now, when you reach your goal unless you carry on, you will put the weight back on & who wants to eat like that forever!

If you start eating healthy, but proper food & lose weight, it is much easier to carry that on .. & enjoy what you are eating ..

Healthy food & exercise is a much more natural way to slim & with a calorie counting site to help you like myfitnesspal .. if you crave chocolate or something, you can still have it by building it into your daily allowance or with extra exercise.

Good luck to you both, which ever way you decide ..
