VEGAS...TIPS FOR MUST SEE'S???

Fuzzys Angel

The Lovely James Hetfield
Going away in 2 weeks time and spending 3 weeks in Hawaii before heading to Vegas for a week. Any top tips on must see's???? Not into white knuckle rides at all, so the coasters etc are out (a fear of heights), obviously plenty of gambling to do!.....

Any ideas on places to visit & things not to be missed would be a great help.....xxxx

Red Rock Canyon ( you do a scenic drive and it's fab), Spamalot (nearly died laughing), The Beatles Love show if you are feeling wealthy, The Wynn Hotel, just beautiful and Spamalot is on there, it also has the most fantastic ice cream parlour. The Grand Canyon by Helicopter, The shops at the Vegas Outlet mall, especially the shoe shops, eccos at less than half price and a huge range you never see over here!

I can bore on this subject for hours so if you want anymore info let me know!

You will have the time of your life!!!!

must sees:
any 'cirque' show ( my fave is zumanity at new york new york but its very sexual and you do have to be open minded)
bellagio fountains at night
freemont street light show
lunch at mon ami gabi ( paris ) sit outside and watch the world go by ( be aware that sharing portions is fine and plenty)
the duelling pianos bar in new york new york is a riotous night out
must visit the venetian and experience the skies

i adore vegas and we go every year as my other half gets sent to a huge broadcasting convention all expenses paid - love the place as it is pure escapism and fantasy

ohh, fabulous. weve been to all the islands, and absoltuly loved it. i cant remember where we stayed, but i can remember the hilton hawaiian village on Oahu. they've got penguins there!!
we went out on a catamaren off waikkiki beach and saw loads of turtles, and went snorkeling with them. we also went to a huge waterfall. i think that was on Maui. i was amazed how much it rained! torrential down pours everynight. have you checked out the webcams on waikiki beach? there used to be one on waikiki, by the duke kahanamouka statue..i will see if i can find the link

Re Vegas - If you're doing a lot of slot machine gambling, sign up for a loyalty card straight away. I did for the MGM and you could use it in loads of the big casinos, MGM, Mirage, Treasure Island, Bellagio, etc. Its free and you get the odd 10 dollar free bets here and there.

On the food side, the americans seem to serve everything as if it were fast food, even in restaurants! Ask for a break between courses or indigestion beckons!!!

Very jealous, was there for a fantastic week in August and still on a downer from coming back..... Been looking at going back for Xmas but alas too expensive.

Have a fab time x

Monument Valley's a bit of a drive, but I loved it, and got some gorgeous silver & turquoise jewellery. (probably fake but it looks the real thing RME)

Oooh I'm so jealous. Can't wait to go back again. Some of my favourites are:

Vegas
Brew Pub in the Monte Carlo
Cocktails in the Rio
Hard Rock hotel for some fantastic memorabilia
The new casino in Planet Hollywood (used to be Aladdin)
Buffet at the Bellagio
Rafting down the Colorado
Horse riding in the Grand Canyon
...and you must do the new Skywalk over the GC (they were still building it when we were there last)

Hawaii
Helicoper over the volcano on Big Island (it might be erupting too fiercely at the moment though)
