Drink!

Hello,
I'm starting Dukan in a couple of days (to give me time to read the rest of the book and finish the non Dukan food we have in the fridge).

My main question is about drinks...
I drink a lot already (water-based not alcohol!.. well some of that...) but can't bear plain water and have drunk lime cordial for years, the thought of having days (or months) without it is an awful thought - and I find if ever we run out at home I just end up not drinking.
When I was away a couple of years ago I did just squeeze lemon juice into water which was better than nothing.

Any suggestions for how to manage on Dukan, or what I can actually drink that is citrus?

Also - alcohol - the book mentions wine (isn't that just fruit? :p ) but not gin or vodka, can we have these at all?

Can't help re soft drink substitutes as I never drink them, am a water-o-holic but I can tell you I had Gin and Slimline tonics last weekend, it was a necessary night out but it stalled me. So, I suppose if you want to set yourself back by a week you could drink but be aware that you won't lose and of course it will make your cravings worse x *Sorry, not great news*

I, too, dislike plain water. I drink flavoured water. Be very careful, tho, some can be calorific. Look for water that's around 1 cal per 100mls. Otherwise, lemon in the water is acceptable on all the phases.
