Need some sense talked into me

My partner's birthday was Thursday so I had the day off, but for some reason I blew it completely yesterday I eat sooo much crap. My birthday is Tuesday and I'm having burger king and Chinese buffet BUT there is now now still a chance for 4 out of 7 days on plan which could give me STS instead of a gain. I'm being greedy as away next weekend too, this really isn't like me with SW. I kept/keep thinking I might as well blow the whole week, but I've never had a gain in 28 weeks and know I'd be really upset with myself. Need someone nice to talk some sense into me

C'mon you already know the answer :)

My old consultant used to say "if you follow this plan six days a week you WILL lose weight; if you follow this plan five days a week you WILL lose weight; if you follow this plan four days a week you WILL lose weight. You dont have to be an angel - but you DO have to follow the plan whenever you can". And she was right!

Theres no point blowing the plan now. You WILL be OK if you stick to plan those other 4 days - thats more than 50% of the week! You can't blow FOUR WHOLE DAYS for the sake of a couple of days off-plan! If you blow it you will regret it!

I pigged out on my Saturday wine last night and did consider still having my Saturday splurge anyway, but Im going to my mum's for her birthday on Tuesday and we're going on holiday in a couple of weeks, so Im staying on plan this Saturday. I still might not lose loads but it'll be a lot better weight than I'd have if I splurged on top of what Ive already done.

You can do it! Be brave x :)

Do you really need to have the Burger King & chinese buffet on your birthday? Perhaps choose one or the other.

I agree with this. Having both seems excessive & also not the best way to 'treat' yourself. I'd use the money you would have spent in burger king & have a manicure instead

It's my birthday, it only happens once a year and I hardly ever give myself a break, and I want to be able to eat whatever I want on my birthday!

If I decided not to I'd be doing it for Slimming World, I don't want to be worrying about SW on my birthday. Anyway I don't really like people who I don't know touching me so any professional pampering is out.

Sorry, but there is a big difference between not following SW for the day & having both burger king & a chinese buffet in a day. The title of the post about talking some sense into you. You don't have to follow SW all the time, but would you honestly have eaten a burger king & then had a chinese buffet pre SW? If you don't like people touching you fine, but surely there is something you would rather spens the tenner on that a greasy burger?

Maybe its because i now get ill if i eat food like that, but i really don't get why you'd want both in a day - especially as you don't want a gain. If your treat must be food related i can think of a million things i'd rather eat - a ham & cheese (not weighed) sandwich with proper mayo on a lovely white baguette comes to mind.

I guess I meant talk some sense into me about not blowing the whole week, as when I when on hols for a weekend and had burger king, eating out chicken burger with chips both nights, fry breaky with sausages, huge icecream dessert with choc brownies in it, sausage rolls e.t.c And after 5 other days on plan that week I STILL lost 1.5lbs. (it was about 6 weeks ago) So I guess I wanted to some sense about not blowing the other 4 days as I know it could mean I could easily stop a gain. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough :)

If I'm honest I do enjoy burger king and I know it's really bad but before SW I could have eaten both in one day and it would have been fairly normal. I wouldn't do everyday but that type of thing was a frequent occurrence. I know it's clear why I ended up with a BMI of 43.3

Hey, well in my experience it's a bad idea to blow the whole week. I was on slimming world once before now and I went to the cinema had popcorn and chocolate and then had a few of my sisters chips before I went home and ordered a Chinese. I then found it so hard to get back on the diet for the rest of the week, I put on four pound. and that's not saying I was terrible all the other days, I just couldn't stick to it properly. Anyways that's why I think you would feel better only having the one bad day. :)
