Modern kids ... how things have changed!

Just had to post this because it tickled me so much.

I'm doing an oral history module this semester at Uni and we were told we had to bring some sort of recording equipment in this Thursday to start practicing interviewing techniques. Well, I'm skint and can't afford any flash modern stuff so I got hubby to dig out an ancient cassette tape recorder I knew we had lurking in the depths of the loft.

It still works (wow!) and my 11 year old daughter was fascinated by the bulky machine and the strange rectangular cassette tape that it used. We said she could have a go putting something on the tape and her face lit up: you'd have thought we'd given her a PS3!

"But there's only one tape" She observed.
"That's OK" said hubby, "You can use it more than once."

"So you can delete what's on it and download more stuff?" she replied.

Me and hubby had to laugh ...
'Recording over' something is obviously a thing of the past in the new 21st century techno-speak!
