Hiya
I need some advice. I have gone back to calorie counting, I have made up my own little diet and I am just trying to eat healthy and in moderation. I am losing the weight still and feel really happy but my family say I have taken it to an extreme and I exercise too much. This is really funny considering I used to be so lazy, avoid exercise and make excuses. Now I am always up and about running around and keeping busy.
It is amazing how much better I feel for it, I Re-started at the end of June and 6 weeks on I feel so happy and positive I have found the solution to how to shift my fat!

This is my daily routine (except Sundays).
Cross trainer for 1 hour
Exercise DVD for 30 minutes
Yoga/Pilates stretching and weights for 30 minutes
Swimming for an hour in the evening.

I feel I eat enough and never feel dizzy or ill and I only do what I can manage. It has taken a few weeks to build up to this much but everyone is worrying. It's not like I am over doing it, I just want to lose weight and feel healthy and still eat! So that’s why I need to exercise!
What do you guy’s think? I hope this was the right place to post as well as I used to b in the Cambridge forum.
Ta, xx

I think you are highly motivated and doing really really well! I understand how that much exercise would be worrying to friends and family but if you are making sure you feel ok and are well hydrated and eating properly then why not! I bet you feel fantastic I would love to have that much motivation :)

Thank you, I have a lot of time on my hands hun tbh and I was fed up with sitting around the house, upset that I had gained so much weight and whining on that I wish I could have a nice body. One day I snapped and just thought Im going to change, I drink about 4litres of water a day, one can of diet coke (I used to drink 10 2lr bottles in a week) and lots of green tea. I love my food, I eat healthy, Porrage or smoothie for breakfast, healthy wrap for lunch with fruit and yogurt, and a jacket potato with tuna and salad or a chicken or stirfry for tea.

I suppose its just a shock for them to see me actually doing something about it after moaning for all this time lol x

The only thing I would say is that if you are doing weights on consecutive days, make sure you don't exercise the same body part - muscles grow/repair during rest, not when you are working them. So if you do upper body weights on a Monday, do lower body on Tuesday and so on.

And at any sign of injury, stop, because you are doing a lot and there is a chance you might sustain an overuse injury (take it from one who knows).

Listen to your own body. Only YOU know when you have done too much. Well done on the amazing motivation, keep up the good work. :)

I meant to say (didn't mean to sound negative in my post) - no, you aren't doing too much - and if other people are saying you are, it's probably because you are making them look lazy!!
