Am i allowed to cheat?

I'm heading for a gain this week, but I can offset it by not wearing my trainers to weigh in.
I wear exactly the same thing to weigh in each week except last week when we were dressed up posh.
Everyone else always wears something different each week.

i would wear the same type of clothes at least then you get the real figure. If your heading for a gain be honest about it you might be surprised but cheating is a way to fail. be honest and get back on the wagon the week after

Hmmmm- i seem to remember taking my glass off one week to try & limit my gain. Trouble is now i have to take them off everytime!

I agree, be honest. At least then you know how much you have gained so you know how much you need to get back from it.

What would be the point? Youre only fooling yourself, you know you havent *really* STS/lost any weight. Nobody else really cares whether you lose or not - it only matters to you, so why lie to yourself? You KNOW you've put weight on, you just said so.

And as soon as you do something like this it means i) you have EVEN MORE to lose next week just to play catch up ii) you have to do it EVERY week. Then next time it happens what else do you take off? Your shirt? Stop eating on WI day? Stop drinking? I did this the first time round and it got ludicrous - I wouldn't eat at all on Tuesdays, I'd wear less every time, pee every last drop out, stop drinking. I dont do that this time, as long as I lose in the long term thats what matters.

Its up to you, but I think you know the answer. Nobody cares except you. You *know* what you weigh.

Sorry guys, but Maybe i read it wrong. I thought the OP was tongue in cheek rather than to be taken seriously!

Oh was it, ha sorry :p Someone else asked a similar question in all seriousness not long ago so I thought this one was for real too  Use smilies ColJack!!! :whoopass:

*Dies in shame at own naivety*

My consultant who is also my very good friend told me that she used to go to a mans house and he would weigh in his underpants!! No wonder he didn't weigh in class!

ooooh Im tempted to remove my right arm, think anyone will notice?

The things we do.... I have actually weighed, yes weighed, my lggings before weigh in to see which weigh less!

It could be me reading it wrong to be fair!

In which case. Bad Coljack!

No, it WAS a genuine question and to my shame I did take my shoes off. :(

I WILL leave them on next week regardless to make up for my moment of weakness.

I hope to make up for more than the shoes next week.

Did it make any difference tho?!

Have you weighed your shoes to see what they weigh? I used to take off my glasses to weigh then realised how little they actually weighed and that they wouldn't make a difference. You might find that your trainers contributed less to your loss this week than you thought!

Yeah Ive weighed stuff like my phone only to find it weighs, like 100g or less, like that gonna show on the scales! :D

Well as long as you get back on track ColJack, thats what matters :) Good luck for next week x :)

LOL ColJack - your consultant will make you wear the steel-toed wellies next week! :D

I have done this - I started SW weighing in in my shoes - was awkward as it meant I had to wear the same sort of shoes every week to avoid a false result - so even if it was hot and sunny, I had to wear my regular heavy shoes to make sure I got a fair result.

I'd been doing this for about a year or so, then hit a really annoying spell where I STS or got small gains/losses for weeks, so decided I would take off my shoes for a little boost!

Trouble is, I have to do it all the time now, and I've nowhere else to go with it. I'm also wearing light summer dresses right now which could be problematic.

Thing is - it does make a difference for me as I am at target. 1/2 a pound could be the difference between me having to pay £4.95 or not. It can work in my favour - if you are hovering near the bottom end of target its very easy to put on some heavier clothes/shoes or just leave stuff in your pockets. Sadly, I'm currently in the top end of target, so really need to be losing, but with no shoes and summer dresses I've nowhere else to go with it!

Joking aside, I can really see the point. I don't go to classes but I would be miffed if I had to pay because I was wearing heavy shoes rather than pumps or sandals. I think I would take them off every week for the sake of consistency.

I usually weigh in wearing a very light pair of jeans. As I thought I was going to have gained this week so I wore a pair of lighter trousers...backfired big time because I ended up with a 1 1/2lb weight loss (not all due to the trousers!). I'm having to be very good this week to ensure I carry on losing and wear my normal jeans next week. Opps! Only 1lb to go before I lose 1 stone...x-fingers I make it on Monday!
