Raspberry and Coconut Loaf Cake from Starbucks. Query.

I asked the girl in Starbucks for the NI chart to find out the values for the raspberry and coconut cake and 'per unit' it has the following NI:

Protein: 5.1
Carbs: 50.1
Fat: 33.7
Fibre: 2.5

Which bring it in at 15pp for a slice!! Am I right in assuming that's what 'per unit' means? When I got home I checked the tracker and my book and they're both pointing it at 7pp (says per 57g slice cake which is about right). What do you guys think? It was just a small slice of loaf cake but did seem to have been made with oil rather than butter. But 50g of fat seems ridiculously high.

Does anyone know if the 'per unit' is per slice in Starbucks? 15pp is a whole lotta points for one wee slice of cake ;)

Hmm per unit meant per item in costa, I know that. I can't imagine WW getting the NI so wrong though?? And can't imagine a tiny slice being 15pp either? Madness!!

the nut. values on esource for their 57g slice is:

pro: 2.34g
carb: 32.66g
fat: 11.69g
fibre: 0.8g

so they don't match what you have :(

is it possible you were given the wrong nut. values ?

... or they have changed the recipe or portion size and not told WW ??

Boyf says the NI from Starbucks must be wrong. I cross checked some other baked items from there (ie a scone and a slice of chocolate cake) and the NI on the eSource matched Starbucks official information.

I think I'm just well and truly confused now! :giggle: If you'd asked me to guesstimate based on no NI, I'd have said closer to 7pp than 15pp though....

lol that's ok no problem :) glad i could help ....that's the good thing i love about forums other people might think of something you don't always think about. :)

I know a cookie used to be 10points on discover so it wouldn't surprise me if it was high. Amazing what they sneak into them little cakes lol

According to ww eat out guide raspberry and coconut cake from starbucks is 7pp which according to our leader will be a portion size serving.
