Just completed my first week, to be honest I have found it relatively easy. Headache only lasted for a couple of hours. I lost 12lbs I am so pleased. Now onto week 2. I know for me it is going to take time I have about 140lbs to lose but I know I will get there x

Brilliant Maddie thats a great start, you will find if you focus and keep 100% the weight will drop off.
Feel free to ask any questions on this forum if you have any, nothing is too silly, you will get lots of advice which I have found very useful.

Drink lots of water slowly through the day as it helps losses.
Good luck!
Jx

Thats brilliant Maddie. Well done:bliss:

Half way through my second week. No problems, feel fine. Have tried the bars, they are okay but prefer vanilla shake with a teaspoon of coffee, still drinking loads of water. My life is suddenly changing fast, firstly my work have agreed to finance me doing an MA, really excited about that. Now unexpectedly my partner and I are taking on the care of a almost 6 year old girl and a almost 5 year old boy!!! ( great niece and nephew). And of course the biggest change is that I have taken control of what I eat and my weight xxxx

Wow, what big changes ahead for you Maddie! Good luck with it all.

Thank you, Brenda.
I am nervous about my 2nd weigh in tomorrow morning even though I have been 100%, I will be bald when it is over. Still finding it relatively easy. Looking forward to having the children here for a few days, if weather good time at the beach, mind you I hate sand so I will not go on it. Will blog tomorrow about the WI.

Well done on your weight loss Maddie and good luck with your new parent role.

Hello Maddie,
Great to see a new starter, doing well also, fab weight loss there. Some pretty life changing events if you are taking on the care of two gorgeous youngsters. Boy wont the weight loss help with that ! lol

Look forward to hearing all about your journey, Drink plenty, journal often and stay strong xx

Big congrats on your weight loss, onward and downwards we go !:D

Hi and welcome. Fab weightloss and exciting times ahead of you now with the children! Just think how easy it will be running round after them when you are lighter xx

Thank you all for your comments. Have tried the soups this week, well I tried minestrone, mushroom and chicken. Liked all of the but particularly the chicken. Have told people at work, still have not told family! I am now off work until 30th August yippee. Onwards and downwards

I dont like the soups to be honest and live on the shakes and bars! OMG lucky you having all that time off, hope the weather is good for you xx

Family all know now about lighterlife and are being supportive. I have had a really up and down week emotionally, there are so many changes going on in my life. Some of the changes I am struggling with but not once have I been tempted to reach for food, so from that point I am feeling really quite pleased with myself. To be honest I feel alone at the moment, yes I do have a partner, we can normally talk about anything but things at the moment do not feel right. I guess we are both dealing with the addition of our 4&5 year old nephew and niece coming to live with us differently. I am the one struggling with it, the no privacy, no space etc. I know in time it will become easier. Sorry for the rambling.

Big lifestyle change there. Coupled with the fact that you have given up food ur favourite drug of choice. Not an easy time.

Have you has experience of little ones before? Can come as A bit of a shock if u are out of practice.

Hope it eases fir you xx

Gosh Maddie, don't be sorry for offloading on here. What a huge
change for you and your partner having your little niece and nephew suddenly coming to live with you - no matter what the reason - it must be a massive change, emotional and practical for all of you, especially the children ,as you and your OH are adults and at least understand why it's happening.
I hope all of you are getting emotional and practical support with this change.
Good for you for not resorting to food throughout all this.
Come on here and rant whenever you like. :)

Hey Hun congrats on not reaching for food! As for the children, of course it is going to cause you some concerns and have to make some adjustments but think if all the joy they will also bring! Sometimes a child's smile is all you need to know you are doing the right thing xxx
