Hi All .. I am on day 2 of attack and am just unbearably hungry - nothing I eat seems to really make much difference for very long. Is this normal and will it pass?! I do not think I can stick this if I am going to feel this way for much longer

list what you are eating and how much you weigh ect so we can see if there is a problem

Post your 2 day menus and let us have a look. Remember that this food is unlimited. Are you eating your oatbran?

Im having the same problem... can I chip in with my food diary and see if anyone can help! lol

Day 1
B: 2x Low fat yogs with 1 1/2 teaspoon oatbran
L: Chicken breast, 2 eggs scrambled, low fat yog and a sugar free jelly
D: 2x Tuna steaks and a can of pepsi max

also had a few coffees with tablet sweetner

had pretty much the same today except i been snacking on packet low fat ham too!!

It is 1.5 tablespoons of oat bran in attack. Can you add some cottage cheese in there? I snack on a few tablespoons of plain yoghurt when I am feeling hungry and it is before a meal, fills me up enough without taking away from the meal.

here's another thought. Is it real genuine belly hunger or do you just think you are hungry. You need to learn to listen to your body. Sometimes it is all in the mind because you have told yourself 'I am on a diet' your mind plays tricks and makes you want more food. Are you drinking plenty of fluids? You may just be thirsty. Listen to your body and decide is it genuine hunger from the pit of your stomach or just in the mind? If it is the latter go and find something to do to take your mind off it :)

you are eating way too little protien for starters ...roast a whole chicken and dig in ...
what yogurts are you eating brand ?
be careful on the yogurts as too many can stall
also on the ham as salt doesnt help some people

tablespoon s not teaspoons of oatbran ,,,,, why not make muffins nice and filling

but definately up your meat intake

Sorry my mistake.... its tablespoons!

I think your right Sharon, I've been at work today and I didn't really feel to bad, but the minute I walked in the door I felt hungry! Im about to go out for a quick paced walk before it rains to get my exercise in for the day too. Dukan.co.uk says I only need to do attack for 3 days but I was going to try 5 days. Think I'll stick to three.

You will also find that probably tomorrow ketosis should kick in fully which will stave off your hunger pangs if they are genuine belly hunger. Been there done that with the Lighter Life and Cambridge plans which did not work for me. This one I love, but the biggest lesson I had to relearn was listen to your body. If it is genuine hunger tho eat some more protein. Don't give up its such an awesome eating plan :)

I felt exactly the same on day 2 and everyone said it would pass by day 3 and they were right, hang on in there and if you're hungry eat protein, you should never be hungry on Dukan because protein is unlimited:)

Drink heaps more water, eat more protein and hang in there...It's amazing when you actually see the weight dropping off and you're not even hungry and it's worth the tough two/three days x

Stick with it Cazzie, im a day ahead of you and i promise it gets better.

Im was a massive eater (excuse it that being a powerlifter, so long as i was getting stronger, it didnt matter how fat i am) but im finding on this eating plan im not feeling hungry and if i do, a couple of slices of lean pre packed meat or my new found best friend, sugar free jelly, bats the feelings away nicely :)

You can do it!

Hi All

thanks for the responses! For the past couple of days I have eaten pretty much the same things:

Breakfast: Oatbran galette &SF Jelly
Midmorning: 2 scrambled eggs + 2 pieces lowfat bacon
Throughout day:don't really have lunch as such -just have been snacking on either cold chicken breast or cold roast beef. Have also had 2 yoghurts (muller vanilla or toffee) each day
Dinner: 2 x Salmon fillets and a SF Jelly

I drink bucketloads of water ( always have done) - at least 2 litres, as well as 2 cans of diet coke (fake sugar!) and probably about 5 cups of coffee with skimmed milk and sweetener

So I don't think I am going short of food exactly, I think my body just isn't satisfied at the moment with what it is getting and is crying out for carbs/sugar. I sincerely hope this will pass

Thoughts?!

Looking at what you are eating and drinking I think that is not the problem. I think you are probably going through carb/sugar withdrawl, which will pass

I do hope so; have been quite shocked the past couple of days; wasn't expecting it to be easy but have found it tougher than I thought. I imagine it will get a lot easier, as you all say. Cheers!

You say you're not having lunch as such, just snacking. This is something you need to remedy. Prepare yourself a proper plate of food. Your eyes (and brain) need to see it.

Also please fill out your User CP. If we can see your current weight, our advice re food quantities would be more accurate.

Keep it up! And, where possible, cook yourself from scratch rather than relying on packets of this or that which - as you've already found - aren't filling.

I think you're probably having too much sugarfree jelly and too many Mullerlights... Both of those things make me crave more carbs and also seem to stall my weightloss.
