Hi all, am having a nice day at the seaside / cricket and as we brought a picnic so far so good. However, hubby just announced that he would like fish n chips as we are by the sea.....need some syn advice please as I didn't bring my book! Could - go for fish only or is that still high synnage? Any info appreciated thanks x

have they got any seafood stalls? You could have a selection of that for free if it is just in vinegar (make sure no sugar or oil is added) and let him have his fish and chips.

the seafood stalls are heaven to me, as I could live off the stuff, but know it is not to everyones liking.

I would send hubby yo buy it, ask the assistant to remove batter from the fish and have mushy peas?!
I have willpower but not enough to throw crispy batter away myself.
I would task if off them eat it telling myself it can't count now it's off lol x

Me and my hubby went to the seaside a couple of weeks ago and I was soooooo determined to be a good girl, and I was!

We couldn't find anywhere that sold jacket potatoes and fish and chips so my hubby had a cup of coffee with me in a cafe so that I could have a jacket potato, beans and salad then an hour later we went to a fish restaurant and I had a cup of tea whilst he had fish and chips! Because I'd already eaten I really wasn't bothered about fish and chips!!

I went to the seaside the other week, all with good intentions! Well it all went to pot, fish n chips, hot donuts, ice-cream, fudge! Gahh! Im rubbish at resisting lately :( but it was a one off and I won't be going to the sea for another year! So i just called it a treat and got straight back on the wagon when I got home :)

I'm going back to the seaside in 3 weeks... If I've done it once I'm sure i can do it again!
