Its not that hard is it ?
Does anyone know of a good CDC in the Dunmow, Stanstead essex area?

I am trying the CD diet today after dropping out of the LL programme a few months ago ( due to Adolf Hitler's love child running the group I was in, I did lose 4 stone on it! needless to say so has gone back on !!!),

I picked up some packs from a CDC and was miffed at the way it was done, I was never weighed measured or before photo's taken, She tried to sell me 3 weeks worth of shakes and offered no way of support or instruction's or encourgement, the way the meeting went was along the lines that LL is similar to CD there's your packs gimme the money see you when you need more packs!

I am not looking to be dictated to but i feel i need the wiegh in as a weekly target, and some words of encouragement other than standing in the bathroom reveling in glory on my own!!! ( so confident it's gonna work again!)

Am i expecting too much from a CDC or is there the motivational CDC out there that go a bit further than cash and dash? I am willing to travel to a flexible councillor if there is anyone in this area please help

thanks

have a look at General Weight Loss Support and Help/ Cambridge Diet Forum and there is a thread in the sticky section called How to find a CDC - there just might be some from Essex there

I dont know if every CDC works the same but I can have a weekly or bi-weekly appointment (my choice) and I pay for whatever supply I need. I can sit down and have a little moan or ask as many questions as I need to. Im in Dublin so my appointment are one to one but I think it might be a bit different in the UK Im not sure.

Definately any CDC Ive come accross whether on this site or my own have been nothing but patient and helpfull. Theyve all been through what were starting so they know what theyre talking about.

I hope you have better luck finding a CDC

Chelmsfords not far, i am prepared to travel to get the right support etc, PM me any details would be appreciated

Thanks

Hi, I am a CDC in Essex,

Hopefully your experiance with your CDC hasn't put you off. I always allow at least 30mins per client...some may chat for longer some not as longer...I will ring my clients, and also tell them that they contact me at any time via phone or email. If I am out and they leave a message then I always phone them back.
We are they to support and motivate you to lose the weight and get to goal...then work through all the management programmes with them.

If you visit the cambridge web page there is a list of Counsellors and also the telephone number of Head Office. They will definately give you the number of a local CDC.

I do hope you find a CD counsellor soon...if you want to have a chat then feel free to PM me. I may be too far out for you but, I wish you luck with your weight loss journet.

Take Care
MXX
