Ryvita Crackerbread wholegrain

Slimming tortoise :o)
I can't get these for love nor money in any of our local or larger supermarkets - can you use original instead but perhaps have less?

Mm these are all the Ryvita things I can find as HEXB:

2 Ryvita Fruit Crunch/Pumpkin Seed & Oats Crispbreads
3 Ryvita Multigrain/Sunflower Seeds & Oats
2 Ryvita Original/Dark Rye/Sesame
4 Ryvita Original/Dark Rye/Sesame
6 Ryvita Wholegrain Crackerbread
3 Ryvita Tomato & Basil Crispbread
3 Ryvita Cracked Black Pepper Crispbreads
3 Ryvita Sweet Onion Crispreads

Thanks Ermintrude - I have decided to go for Ryvita Sesame or Original. It's a rel pity you can't have original Crackerbreads as they are delicious, but I suppose not high enough in fibre to be a HExB :(

Michelle - sadly our nearest Asda is in Llanelli which is nearly 40 miles from here! The only downside of being so rural is that everything decent is so far away - our nearest Tesco is the best part of 30 miles away. We have a Morrisons slightly closer in Brecon, but I find them very expensive (I don't do branded goods and their own brands are much more pricey than Tesco).

Our nearest supermarket is a small Co-op down in Llandovery (6 miles away) but you need a bank loan to shop there  and there's little or no variety either.

I've tried flavoured Philli for the first time last week. I added philli and chives as a HExB to SW spaghetti carbonara - it was DIVINE!!

Will any of the big supermarkets deliver down your way? Personally I hate online grocery shopping, but plenty of people seem to use the service quite happily and its got to be better than a 60 mile round trip for your shopping.

Or are you too rural for broadband as well??!!

The only store that delivers here at present is Asda and, contrary to the adverts, I acutally find them far more expensive than Tesco for my shopping (I have compared on-line).

Although Tesco are actually closer, they don't provide a delivery service for our postcode, which is a real bummer, so we shop once monthly and spend a fortune on mediocre fruit and veg from the local Co-op in the interim.

We are on broadband here, but 'tis very slow... often less than 1 gig, but far better than dial up which they have to use less than a mile down the road. TBH I'd be stuffed without it as I work from home and the vast majority of my work is email and Internet based!

It's all to do with how far you are from the exchange apparently and we are just within the 8k maximum limit. We do get a lot of line fade though, so sometimes it's really slow or intermittently disconnects and the phone line is really quiet sometimes too which can be a PITA if I am doing berveavement counselling :(

Still, 'tis more than made for by the beautiful quiet rolling countryside I live in - there's only 12 houses here and 3 of them are farms :)

Sorry to bring up such an old thread but I didn't want to make a new post when there's one already here. Just wanted to double check that with the changes for 2012 that you can still have 6 Ryvita Wholegrain Crackerbread as a HexB?

I had no idea until today that crackerbreads were an option. I've been using Ryvita Sesame which I do like, but I much prefer the crackerbreads and to have 6 would be amazing!

If you go online after you have had an Asda shop delivered you can do the price guarantee check, they promise that they are 10% cheaper than other supermarket if not they give you the difference back;)

You'd think I worked for Asda the way I'm promoting them :D

Oooh yum I forgot about these will pick some up as it's great that you get 6 as a HEB! :) x

I bought some of these yesterday - it really annoyed me that the wholegrain ones are the same price as the "normal" box that's twice as big! Cheek.

I have the aldi version which is a hxb too but I thought it was 3 as a hxb and 6 were my 2 hxb on a red day! nice bonus to know I can still have another hxb!

You'd have to double check with the aldi ones. It's 3 per HexB for Original/Sesame/(etc) Ryvita Crispbreads but 6 for Ryvita CRACKERBREADS. Not sure what kind Aldi's are similar to.

There seems to be a problem with the HEX listings. Ive noticed before sometimes I get offered "Cereals & Crispbreads" together, whereas other times I get offered "Cereals" OR "Crispbreads", seemingly at random, but thought it was the usual SW incompetence - but I just looked this Aldi one up for the poster above, then went back to check and it changed before my eyes!

So I did a screengrab and hit the back button and grabbed that too. It seems if you are offered the two TOGETHER you can have FOUR Aldi Rye Crispbreads or THREE Aldi Sesame one - BUT if you get offered them to click on as a separate category (ie just "Crispbreads") You get offered SIX of either

Screengrabs to prove Im not going mad:

Here I get offered one category, "Cereals & Crispbreads":

And I can have THREE Sesame or FOUR Rye:

But sometimes the options are separate, you can pick "Cereals" OR "Crispbreads":

and inside the Crispbread category I can have SIX of EITHER:

I've noticed in the past I dont always get offered the same categories but wondered if I was going senile? is there some blindingly obvious reason I am missing, before I email them to let them know of yet another fackup??

That is very odd. I don't have access to online so can't help but it does all look very confusing!

Thank you ermintrude. I thought I was the only one going mad.....atleast there is proof now!!!!!!

I find the website very weak. Can not believe they have not got some kind of forum on there that you can ask questions. Or maybe it is there and it is just the bad outlay that stops me from finding it. Must say I am surprised that such a big company has such a useless website. The internet is the future. Looks like they made a website in the ninties and is still using it. Just adding stuff now and then so it becomes this bulky thing that is impossible to navigate. I also find recipies have missing parts that make is impossible to cook. Rant over.......sorry

No you're totally right the website is DIRE, youd think it was made in about 1990  I think they just stuff new data in to an old, old, site... occasionally a new page of code will be strung on to the old site to stuff *yet more* content in, but the structure of the thing is ancient, its just falling apart. :sigh: There are multiple pages for the same thing and they often dont match. Theres no fixed architecture to the site - you should ALWAYS be able to find the way to what you are looking for by looking in the SAME place, but with SW half the pages have different layouts. Some of the content is entirely hidden with no obvious link to it, you only hear about pages through word of mouth on here! The syns online is a mess, the B choices for some stuff havent been updated to match their A counterparts (or at least *sometimes*, again I think the website must have different packets of data it can pick and it's just random whether it picks an old one or an up-to-date one). Even the data that does go in isnt always right, I found something on there while back, a yoghurt I think that had totally the wrong syn values as they hadn't allowed for free food (I emailed them and they fixed it.

It needs a total overhaul and starting again from scratch. :sigh:

It amazes me really that in 2012 they get away with such cr@ppe, especially when their main rival has such a fab site comparitively  Im an online member so have no other reason to stay signed up. When my first membership ran out I said Never Again, no way am I paying their extortionate fees for naff all, but I rejoined up anyway, I really dont think I can this time, its a rip off anyway, but it just seems to get worse as they add more stuff.
