I'm new to this forum and will be doing slimming world. I will be doing it from home on my own, as I cannot afford to go to group. I have managed to get my hands on the book, so just need to read it and get started! I'm still finding my way around, so will appreciate everyone's advice. I have 3.5 stone to lose. Chezzg x

Hi Chezzg, welcome to the forums!

Hi Chezzg!! Welcome to Minimins from an old-timer! (Well I don't think I'm that old at 34, but I've been here an awfully long time!) 21 months on SW and Minimins and it's changed my life! I definitely recommend the plan for variety, feeling nice and full and seeing long-term weight loss results!! Good luck and PLEASE ask any questions you like, especially as you're doing it from home! I think you'll get all the support you need here! Make sure you check out peoples' food diaries for ideas!X

Hi FMS!! Welcome to you too!! Congrats on your first 7lb loss! That's the way to do it, just chip away, ride the bad weeks out and you'll get there! Slow progress doesn't matter (just look at me- now on week 93!!!) It's about the long-term and changes in habit! However long it takes it's all worth it!!X

Hi Chezzg, I'm also doing Slimming World at Home. It does take a bit of getting used to but is a really great diet! I'm doing Green.

I love all the fruits and yogurts I can eat. Plus the Bachelors Dry Pasta Cheese and Brocolli (made with water instead of butter and milk) mixed in with 2 bags of steam veg is even too big a meal for me to finish and also delicious!!!

I try to save my syns for a good chunk of chocolate and find a Boost bar has some kind of good effect on my appetite, it apparantly has guarano in it which is a natural appetite suppressant (I stick it in the freezer and then dip it in my tea - overshare?!!?)

God luck xxx

Welcome Chezzg!
Good thing you joined the forum if you're not going to group. Lots of folks in the same boat, ready to give you support and share experiences to keep you motivated :) You can do it!

Wow FC you are so close to your target =D I cant wait to get that far- Welcome to everyone and I'm new too! First day of Exante diet today- starving hungry but only because the food hasnt been delivered yet hehe Xx

First days are always the hardest. But you can do it. Just remember why you're doing it. Stick to it and very soon you'll get so used to your new regime you won't even think about anything else.

Welcome! Good luck doing SW at home. Remember that you can get loads of SW stuff on eBay! xx

Thank you all for a really warm welcome!!! I must say I did feel nervous when I first joined, but you are all such lovely people!!! Thank you again, and good luck to everyone on their weigh loss journey!! Xx

It's such a great place to talk to others in similar situations! So much encouragement too! I've been really good today, as I only lost 1/2lb last night at WI. Still better than a gain I guess! I've only got 3lbs to get my stone award. So I am desperately trying for that this week!

How's everyone else been doing?

xx
