just what title says really. please can someone help as ive had normal tea with a little bit of full fat cream is this ok or not?

thanks again lol x

In the newest Atkins book (A New You) caffeine is allowed. The science changes all the time and whilst it is not advised to guzzle caffeine-containing drinks I feel sure a few cups of tea a day won't hurt! I use decaf coffee, tho, after 12 noon each day as I am a bad sleeper. Some days I only have decaf coffee. But I don't like decaf tea - would rather have one or two cups of regular tea than double the amount of decaf!

If you are not seeing any problems, like stalling or increased appetite or whatever, then I'd say you are fine with your tea x

i drink both here , it could be argued that its slowing my losses BUT its a sacrifice I'm willing to make , i'm a year on the diet now , so i'm looking at it as being a long term lifestyle choice rather than a diet , and to me i cant imagine a lifetime with no caffiene lol

I reduced my caffeine intake bigtime, from about 6 cups a day, plus diet coke, to one tea in the morning and then a soya latte to have when I get to work - and that's it. Feel much better for it, I have to say:)

I've reduced mine alot too - I make 1/2 a pot of coffee first thing with 2/3rds decaf, then maybe another decaf later, occasionally a coke zero or Dr Pepper zero. I'm not getting the energy slump in the afternoon now.

thanks :) also can i have salt? x
