I reeeeeally need something to eat, what can i eat that wont effect ketosis. I really just want a piece of toast or something :(

I'm not sure if im in ketosis or not yet. But pleeeeeeease someone tell me can i eat :( even a cuppa with milk or soooomething.

I seriously have NO energy at all. Cant walk down the stairs without everything going blurry. So dizzy and faint, and starving. If this lasts, i'm going to have to give up.

Is there any way you can do the full programme, but do 2 shakes a day, and have 1 meal?
Desperate :(

I dont think there's anything you can eat chick!!!

Know you've prob tried but have you tried filling up on water/peppermint tea!!!

It DOES PASS though!!! Know at the moment you probably think it will never end!!! But it does.... you've done 4 days... if you've been 100% you should be in Ketosis.... don't waste it hun.... honest it does get easier!!!!

Only 3 days till your weigh in!!! Then that will be motivating hun!!!!

HELLO:) the desperation has passed a bit. My god i was terrible this morning. I couldnt even see when i stood up i was that hungry. I've had 2 of my 3 shakes and i feel a little better.
not too fun when your whole family are having pizza :sigh:

It will be worth it though :)

thanks for the support. How are you doing?

Glad to hear the desperation has passed, keep strong because you are right, it will be worth it

If i keep this up for a month, how much weight should i lose?
1st weigh in, i was 13 stone on the dot.

There is no "should" loose, it depends on how much you start at, how much fat to muscle your body is made up of etc etc etc Lipotrim say that you can expect to loose around a stone every month (i don't know what your lipotrim alternative says, is it exactly the same ?) as you can see from my signature i lost 2 stone in the first month but i started a lot heavier than you. Hang in there and roll with the punches, you have got to day 4 that is a huge achievement, keep it up and the weight will come off x

try splitting your shakes. Divide a pack in half and have six a day instead of three x

Thanks for the advice guys.
My family want me to come off the diet, i have never felt so miserable as i have today and yesterday.
I HATE the shakes, so i keep skipping them which isnt good, and I really just want a big dinner :(
If i still feel this way tomorrow night (day 6), i may have to quit :(

I don't know if i should be encouraging you to keep going, is that what you want to hear ? Personally i love this diet, i think it can be really hard at times but its not as hard as being fat is (that is my opinion). Having said that if its not for you sweetie its not for you, find another way to shift the weight you want, that doesn't make you miserable.

i really do think if you can hang on until your first weigh day you may feel differently..

Its suits me as i don't have choices.... i have the shakes... that is it.... i find it easier because i don't have to think... but everybody is different!!! Hope you feel better soon.... whatever you decide!!! xxx

I have always found after about 8 / 9 days it is easy to do. the first week is soooo tough :)

I'm so sorry to hear how you're struggling. Like ElectricLilac, I'm not sure if this is going to be the right diet for you...

Certainly, the shakes are not tasty (nor are they intended to be) but if you really hate them so much that you're skipping them, then that's just not going to do you any good at all - you'll not get the nutrients you need and you're bound to feel weak and ill. Have you tried all the flavours? Soup as well? I found that after the first two or three times they taste a little more acceptable.

Shakes are possibly better made with fridge-chilled water. You can make the vanilla one up with black coffee to make a sort of latte-type drink. Making the chocolate one with hot water is like a slightly malty hot-chocolate or made with mint tea (hot or cold) can give it a mint-choc-chip sort of flavour. Try the soup with added curry powder or something to mask the taste a bit. Also, have you tried the flapjacks? I had to ask my pharmacist for them, as they didn't initially offer (think they had to be ordered-in). I don't think they taste all that great, but at least they're solid food and something to add variety. Likewise, try as many different other drinks - coffee, teas (hot or iced...), fizzy water etc. to give you variety and also something to think about. I've tried making up fresh infusions with mint leaves and am considering nettle & mint and maybe a thyme infusion (especially if I can get some lemon-scented thyme).

Just generally, fill your days with as much as possible to try and take your mind off the hunger. Doesn't need to be energetic - puzzles or good TV will keep your brain occupied, whilst constantly sipping drinks...

Sadly, it seems your family is not being supportive and that's such a shame. Everyone around me is SO supportive and tell me many times during the day how well I'm doing and how proud of me they are - it helps so much when I'm wavering... They're also very careful to not eat around me, or even to talk much about food when I'm in earshot. Maybe, if you decide to stick with this (or frankly ANY diet) you could let them know how much their support would help? Perhaps you could ask them to watch the introductory video with you, so they understand better the process and how it will affect you?

I do really hope you can find a way to get through these next few days because it really should get easier. If not, then perhaps you could consider using the maintenance products mixed in with real food. I don't know anything much about the specifics of it, but there are forums about that elsewhere on this site.

I think whatever you try, the food isn't going to be the same as your family will want to eat, so you'll still need to try and get them on-board and ask for their support.

I wish you so much luck and strength... Mx

Thanks so much for the support, guys!
Shiny purple, thank you for taking the time to write that. :D

I found today really hard, as sunday dinner was being made, but i didnt give in.

Only had 2 shakes again today, but taking a multivitamin. Will this affect my weight loss? :/

I've tried the strawberry, the vanilla, the chocolate, and the soups.
I think the strawberry is tolerable, but excruciatingly sweet.
The vanilla is nice, but then this horrible aftertaste kicks in, and is gag-worthy. I find it hard to finish it..
And the chocolate, i got sick after. Like literally puked, so... probably gonna steer clear of that.:jelous:
Soups were ...okay.

I just dont think this diet is for me, but i'm so determined to lose a stone in the month i have left before returning to school. I know i can do it. Though I'd love nothing more than a piece of toast :eek:

I bought mine in bulk, from new you, so i cant return them anyway. So the money loss part makes me want to stay on the diet also. Im just curious as to whether i can have 2 shakes, 1 meal? That would make it so much easier for me..

thanks a mil guys :D:family2:

You def can't have 2 shakes and one meal on LT. You can with CD though. Maybe that woul be better for you.
If you continue with LT you really should have 3 per day or you will not be well. You get a massive energy boost and feel really "well" once properly in ketosis and this won't happen if you don't take it correctly

If the shakes are still tasting awful try making them with more water. You can add as much as you like.
