Im sorry if there is already i thread for this. we have all done really well so lets shout about it! hooray for us!

What have you achieved so far since starting sw?

For me - in 9 weeks i have lost 24 pound (1 stone 10 pound) and have lost 12 inches!

I feel better all round and for once i am beginning to feel proud of myself and beginning to take care of my appearance rather than scraping my hair back and wearing massively baggy clothes!

How about you?

FIrstly well done on your loss that is amazing.

For me sInce starting slimming world (Jan 10) I have lost 2 stone 7lb to reach my target. I reached my target on 6 sept 10 and have maintained this loss for almost 11 months now. :)

The slower the better Elle. Loving the new avatar your gorgeous!

And it slow works for you, you have had a massive achievement already 5 stone 1 pound gone forever is massively fantastic!!

Ooh ok then, no time for modesty!

12in off my waist (now 32in)
size 14in collar in shirts (was 17.5)
small size T-shirts/sweaters etc. (was XL)
Suit size 38s was 44s before (never fitted either) only specialist shops made them bigger

So thems the inches;)

in weight it is approx 90lb (6st 6lb)

Normal blood pressure & cholestrol.

Biggest victory though despite all of the above was no longer being an insulin dependent diabetic - ditched that before christmas and lost a few stone since then too.

Oh and not forgetting my Target Member badge for reaching 10st 12lb :) (from 17st 7lb original last August).

Fantastic thread and well done everyone so far!!

I've climbed Snowdon and Scarfel Pike since loosing 9 and half stone. I'm taking my 5.5 year old up Snowdon too.
I'm actually beginning to like my body and have gone from a size 28-30 to a 12/14.
Instead of wearing black all the time, I now wear colourful patterned clothes and actually enjoy clothes shopping.

Wow maximus and mrs v, you have both done so well new members and old members will be so inspired i know i am! X

I have lost around 9 stone 3 lb to get to my target and stayed thereabouts for a few weeks now (hopefully at tomorrows weigh in anyway ;) )
I have gone from a size 28/30 to a size 12/14 now able to shop in LOADS of shops and not just shop from Evans and catalogues etc and share some clothes with my 19 year old daughter
I'm not sure how many inches I have lost but I think there's a fair few gone!
So much has changed since I have lost the weight! Its not going back on!

*Bump*

Gosh I am impressed with the maintain bit as I think that has to be the hardest part. I got there i March and then put about 10lbs back on.

That's my boy !!!!! Your mumsie loves you !!!

i've lost almost 4 stone over the past year and i'm hoping to hit my target at next weeks wi. doesn't feel real though, all these years i have wanted to be the size i am now i'm there i still don't see it. hope my mind catches up soon

Well done on your loss and i really hope you reach target this week x x

I have never ever been slim so i think it will be very hard for me as well to think of myself of slim even when Im at target! X

I have gone down three dress sizes since february!
I have completed week 1 of C25K!

Today i have managed to get my 7 year old niece who doesn't like ant fruit or veg to eat blueberries kiwi & peppers.

Seems insignificant in real terms until you realise that my sister has been trying for 5 years to get her to eat anything but carrots & peas!

Scafell Pike is on my "to do" list! - I can't find anyone willing to do it with me though:(

Whilst I'm on - I know I have put it on another thread, but I also became a non-insulin dependent diabetic on the way. Throwing away the needles (safely and hygienically of course) was the best feeling in the world

I literally ate myself well;)

In the past year I have lost over 6 stone & dropped from a size 24 to a size 14. I also found a couple of new hobbies in running & kettlebells which beat TV & chocolate any day now. I recently completed C25k & am starting B210k but my big ambition is to take part in a marathon & complete it. That wont be for a couple of years though until I get my youngest at school & have a bit of time to fit in the training!!!

Max - how are you feeling now and were you type 1/2... My partner is about 11st, certainly not over weight and he's type 1 insulin dependent... I think it's because he doesn't want to give up the junk food, he likes curry, chips, crisps and chocolate (never before noticed they all begin with c!! And so does crap! How appropriate)!

I sometimes wish he would eat healthier but I also know he should eat foods he enjoys....

Hi

I am type II -I've no doubt it was entirely weight-related. I'm not so sure if cutting out the crap would help a type I diabetic as it would a type II though.

Obviously a healthy diet is preferable. Out of interest I also like chips (SW-style in a tefal Actifry (with 1tbsp extra virgin olive oil) curry - I make my own, syn-free or low syn SW-style, crisps are synned or Walker Lights. Chocolate I don't really bother with. My point being he can do healthier versions if he really wanted to;)
