meant to add, i would boil the mince and wait till its cooked then leave it for 1 or 2 hours in the water and then the fat would rise to the top, id wait till it goes hard then scoop it off.

you can get extra lean mince in tesco but scooping is fine too
check the sugar content of the passata as some brands have it hidden in but apart from that its fine

I was thinking of cooking a Bolognaise this week to but I was going to add a carrot to that recipe and maybe a pepper as well. It is the same recipe I use when I'm not doing Dukan so I can dish it up for the rest of the family.

how sad am i, ive just finished cooking it all up for tomorrow so i only have to stick it in the microwave to warm up, or even cold, i had a sneaky taste and it was gorgeous, may aswell of done it while the kids are in bed.

only problem i couldn't add garlic because the husband hates it and if id of put it in the pan at this time of night he'd of not been impressed because it would of stunk the house out lol.

ive also cooked enough for about 5 portions of it, so i'll tub it up and stick 4 of them in the freezer :D

Looks good. I make this sort of thing up regularly in bulk (when the 5% fat mince is on offer), and freeze packages.

Great with grated courguette "pasta" or with celeriac or cauli mash on the top too as shepherd's pie.

Obviously Cruise PV days only ;)
