Apprehensive... Any words of wisdom?

Hi everyone,

I switched to CD from LL three weeks ago which means a week from now I will be 'adding a meal' for a week. I've been SSing since mid-February, during which time nothing prohibited has touched my lips. Now I'm facing the prospect of having to eat which I'm kind of looking forward to but also very nervous about.

Any advice/tips etc regarding AAM week are welcome. Are there certain things that are better to have than others? Anyone else been through a similar thing?

I know I'm being daft, it's only a teeny weeny 'meal', but the prospect is stirring up uncomfortable feelings

Thanks x

Hi there

I had the same misgivings as you and have just finished my first AAM week. I decided to keep it as boring as possible so that I would miss it less when I went back to SS. I had cottage cheese with two table spoons of cucumber. I also had it at different times every day so that I wouldn't get into the habit of looking forward to it in the evening.

Back on SS now without really missing AAM week so seems to have worked for me.

I kept my first AAM week pretty boring too like Porgeous. I had chicken and brocolli evey night. The thing that helped me was that i weighed and bagged my chicken up so i knew every night i just had to get a bag from the freezer and that was my portion. No cutting up a chicken breast and thinking, well i'll just have a bit more.

I was really nervous too, i think it's only natural. For me i've never had control where food was concerned and this was a big test. I think thats what i was worried about and also if eating would make me want to eat more and then it would get out of control. But i was fine, and i really enjoyed doing it and had no problems at all when the week was up going back to SS :)

Good luck with it, i'm sure you will be fine. :)
