My plan - Thoughts

So Ive been on the CD for 36 days now and have lost 36.8 pounds to date.

I have a deadline of 21st of September before Im going to come off it. My plan was to stick to the CD SS for the rest of the time before moving to Healthy eating/Calorie counting. My CDC and I have discussed incorporting some of the maintencence rules and plans as well as possible e.g. slowly introducing carbs and still have a few packs a day.

As Im going to university, the environment will be difference of course so I am hoping to lose as much fat as possible and then at uni, will go to the gym as it is included with my accommodation and begin healthy eating and building muscle?

I have read all about coming off and not following the maintenance plans but without sounding naive, I think my eating habits have changed in my mind mentally after reading books (Linda Spangle and Becks) and I feel like I wont have the temptations as I will be a poor student so cant afford to buy junk and I will be hopefully surrounded by friends which means I wont binge by myself!

Also, have heard uni students put on weight cause of all the alcohol and junk but I dont drink that much so will be limiting myself on both counts and will be attending the gym? I mean, I dont want to turn but being piniticky about eating as it doesnt make a good impression.

After reading some archives and google for info on exercise and VLCD's, Ive read that they are good for obese people, but it becomes more detrimental as you get lighter because it does not have AS much fat stores to go through etc? Then I read you tart to loss lean muscle mass, where as it is sustained on a VLCD's

Of course these are my own conclusions so I thought going down to the 200 mark or 209 (Where I would be classed at overweight) I would come off the SS plan. I can say this now, but I think I will be ok going to the gym, as the main reasons for not going before were going alone and being intimidated but I wont be as if Im thinner!

I could then also incorporate exercises and resistance training like the C25K and 30DS think because it will be more about inch loss/body fat reduction/muscle gain.

I feel this is more of a ramble but would just like your thoughts on it!

Thanks! :p

I am sure you will be fine, just find a happy medium to eating/drinking and enjoy your freshers week, thats the week you will start to make your friends at uni but it doesn't mean not having fun, just be careful thats all. xx

Maybe you could join a slimming club when you go to uni so that you'll meet new people who are losing weight or maintaining and get some support from them. The uni gym is a good place to meet students who are into keeping active - perhaps there's a fitness class you'd like to try or even a sport you could take up?

I havent seen one yet but they usually publish stuff in August of all the clubs/societies so Ill have a look thanks! :)

I think so. During the freshers fair you can always sign up for a few classes and go to them and if you dont like it, you can always leave. I think this opportunities is great as there are a few things I might try!

They also do have over 100 classes in the fitness center so again, will look closer to the time!
