Syn free tortilla chips

If you put lasagne sheets in boiling water until just bendy then cut in to triangles and place on fry lighted tray. Spray with fry light and add seasoning and place in the oven on high until they snap like crisps (doesn't take long!) They are delicious and are similar to tortilla chips.

Eat as part of a meal only though as it is tweaking the plan :)

Syn free Salsa

Fry small chopped onion, crushed garlic, green pepper in fry light for a couple of mins and add tin chopped tomatoes, add chilli to taste some lime juice, pinch oregano and basil, salt, pepper and 1/2tsp canderell. Bring to boil and then reduce heat to simmer for 20mins. Allow to cool and serve with the syn free tortilla chips. This sauce can also be used over pasta and meat can also be added.

Hope this helps!

By the way you can do the same with sliced potato too!

In my group we discussed making crisps with very thin slices of part boiled potatoes and bung them in the oven with fry light.

and thankyou princesss01 for the advice on the salsa dip its just what I needed Im gonna make it one night I have friends round

Sounds like you plan on eating these as a snack so you cant count them as free. If you start messing about with ingredients that are meant to be a filling part of a meal (potatoes, lasange sheets, chickpeas) then making them into snacks (crisps, tortillas, chickpea cake) - it means you are going to consume an awful lot of calories without it filling you up. There's a ton of things like this all over this site, people are very sneaky at trying to find new ways to eat as many crisps as they like - but SW are only applying these rules to help protect your weightloss.

You should syn them as though you were on a red day - by the time you work it out, you'll probably find you might as well have bought a pack of lowish syn crips (french fries, skips, quavers etc)!

More hassle than its worth IMHO

Yes we got told they would end up having Syns in them. I personally wouldnt make them id prefer syn free chips! Just going to make the dip and have it with them.

It will be fine as long as i dont go overboard cause theyre syn free :)

so how many syns would these chips b? not the potato 1's the pasta 1's, cos every sat we normally have a snack of nachos and dip while watching movies so just wondering the syns n the salsa could u just do this with chopped fresh toms?

not syn free

we discused this in group a couple of weks ago and our rep said they are not free eaten this way as you consume far more than if they are a meal, so they have a syn value. although he didnt say what that was??:mad::mad::eek::eek::eek:

The syn value is that of the raw weight of the pasta/potato on a red day

So what SW advertise as 'free' food is only actually free as part of a meal?
