sugar and carb free sweets

sucrolose is a dukan no

most people have the sula brand sweets found in holland and barrat , health food shops and some supermarkets I think the limit is 3 to 4 sweets a day

just to add a disclaimer sucrolose was a no on the original dukan , no idea whether its joined the ranks of tolerated yet

Sucrolose is "splenda" - and the sweetener of choice for most of us, I suspect!

Sucrolose has only been available in the EU since 2004, 4 years after the original book was published, hence its omission.

I don't have a copy of the most recent book with me - but far as I am aware, Sucrolose / Splenda can be used as an alternative to aspartame, Dukan's original sweetener of choice.

ahh i see thanks. I decided to give them a miss anyway! i thought it may lead to a very slippery slope as i have a VERY sweet tooth!

I was going to say be very careful - because if you have a tendancy to binge on sugar free sweets you can get awful stomagh pains, wind and, um, diarrhea...

Maybe try having SF jelly when you have a sweet craving - it's allowed and has helped me a few evenings!

Or sugar free gum?
