Week 3 - Not Happy

Guys

Please tell me it's just a blip! I've just had my 3rd week weigh in and for the second week in a row i've put on

Week 1 - Dropped 8lb (with the assistance of food poisoning)
Week 2 - Put on just over 1lb, was fine with that as my body was just normalising after the food Poisoning
Week 3 - Put just over 2lb on, I'm gutted! Going to cut the cheese and creme fraish out, no more sugar free jelly or scratchings. I'm drinking my 2 litres of water a day plus extras in the form on coke zero. Will also cut out sausages! I'm soo gutted as soo many people told me not to do the diet and I was so determined to prove them wrong! I even started Zumba this week which is a total killer!

Please fellow Atkiners, fill me with confidence! I don't want to go back to Slimming World :sigh:

Morning Gemma

I'm by no means an expert - there are really brilliant experts on here who will help - Jim particularly has an amazing stickie called 'so you're thinking of doing Atkins' ... LadyFelsham, Kat1e, LVVT, Quak, Dietkitty, Coke and Ditzeeblonde to name but a few (and many MANY apologies for not mentioning others as I'm still fairly new and have a memory like a goldfish!) are all really helpful and experts in the Atkins Way.

But, I've started to re-read the Atkins book this morning and all I can say its amazing how much of it I forgot during the first read through! So the thought for the day is 'keep it clean and green' which seems to be the mantra of this really lovely Atkins forum.

Others will jump on your post and help ... don't give up and don't lose hope... I'm chugging along and I really never thought it would be possible to shift any of my carcass! :)

Don't worry! This is exactly what happened to me at around the same time. I was distraught and almost gave up. Instead I went completely clean and green and have never looked back. It does seem that all the stallers set in around the second or third week. I dropped all dairy and just started eating meat and allowed veg. The clean and green method does work. It just seems that a lot of us stall on some things.
Don't lose heart We are with you.!

We've all been there, Gemma, it's easy for there to be carb creep without you even realising - so do try the advice given - drop the dairy (especially creme fraiche, that's quite high in carbs) and I would suggest getting rid of the diet drinks, and stick to water or sparkling water.

Just try it for a week or two - and I'm sure you will be happy with the results. It's exactly what I'm back doing after lying in a carb ditch for months :D

Post your menus so we can see what you're having.

Thanks everyone for you comments! I'm proper peeved, I'm doing my shopping tonight and will ban dairy from my trolley (it'll be tough ( ). Clean and green hear I come, absolutey typical when you've got a freezer full sausage and cans of hot dogs in the cupboard!

'...after lying in a carb ditch for months'. Brilliant!
