ADVICE PLEASE!!!

Hello :)

I joined Minimins a loooon time ago when I was doing the cambridge diet. I pop in every now and again, but get very confused with where to go!

I had great success with Cambridge, but found I developed really worrying bad habits as I was desperate for food after two months. I just didn't come back after that!

I have done: Weight Watchers, Pig to Twig, Cambridge, You Can Be Thin Marisa Peer, Hypnosis CD's, Weight To Go, Slimfast, residential bootcamps, epsom salt baths, green tea, Xenical... You name it, I've probably given it a whirl!

My real problem is motivation and sticking with exercise, as coupling a diet with exercise works best for me. And I am sooo lazy. And tempted by tasty treats too much.

So what's the advice I need?

Well, in a few weeks, I need to make sure I follow a diet which will get me back to being, feeling and looking healthy again. However, the reason I say a few weeks is because in about 3 weeks, a very close family member is getting married, and I am very self conscious about how I look - I will be in too many photos to mention. I would absolutely love some advice as to what I can follow for fast inch loss and weight loss. Mainly inch loss.

I don't have much money at all, so something I can just do myself would be great. I'm not keen on anything like slimming world etc as I am after DRAMATIC weight loss. I am happy to follow a normal diet after this.

I know this is not the best way to lose weight, but it is a short term plan.

Any help or advise would be absolutely fantastic :)

Hi Chunkymonkey, I'm afraid I am not about to agree with your attempts to do a dramatic weight loss programme at all. Having just been thro' several months of being in a haphazard mood and only just getting back into the swing of things, I know only too well how very disappointing it is to not be able to keep to a proper eating plan but that is the only way to tackle the problem. You have to sort out what it is that continually bugs you and makes you grab for the sweeties! What is the point of doing something that has the potential of making you quite ill and then put all the pounds back on because you have not trained yourself into proper eating habits?
It will be the cheapest thing to buy those necessary items for a healthy eating regime and take the trouble to see what new recipes or just ideas you can come up with. Take it one day at a time - very much like alcholics do! I'm sure you will get there IF YOU REALLY WANT TO!! .... :)

lol.... "pig to a twig"
names for these diets are as strange as nick names for the people on here!... good look in your quest for the perfect diet.. but im sure of sommmaz "they all amount to the same thing"
you need to get a grip on your eating habits, as do us all!!!!!!!!!!!
morning.. im sam, nice to meet you.

Hi Irene.

VLCD's are great short term, but difficult to learn how to eat again normally when you've lost the weight. I've decided to stick to Marisa Peer's way of eating for the most part. It's just how I should eat anyway. Anything that grows, can be eaten raw or roams the planet. So I can eat as much as I want and need, and just eat the food that's not so good for the body on the odd or special occasion.

It's just how we should eat anyway, so I can't be bothered with the fast weight loss now. I always yield to pressure...
