my poor legs :-(

I love being on LT and takes all the headache out of things for me. I was just about 28 stone when I started and although the weight is coming off in leaps and bounds atm (35lb to date) I have constant horrendous pains in my lower legs (like hot aches) and they are red and swollen. Doctor says its the pressure on my legs from carrying the weight but it is so painful.
Has anyone else who has had to lose a lot of weight had similar issues and do you have any advice. Unfortunately I work and have family so having my legs up really isn't an option for me

Thank you

Yes I have a few times the hurt enough to take pain killers make sure you drinking enough I used to get it when I drank alcohol I called it my hangover legs read some where it was due to low potassium dint know why I get it now tho and i'm down to 12lb 8oz

When was the last time you were at the doctors'? I would have thought your legs would be better - not worse - if you have lost 35lb. I would go back and ask for some advice, I don't know, I'm not a doctor, but maybe support stockings, or exercises to increase the muscle tone in your legs. Your doctor should be trying to make things easier for you, the last thing he/she would want would be for you to be off work on longterm sick leave. If he/she can't help ask to be referred to someone else who can. Keep going back, be polite but firm and insistent - you deserve to be painfree.

I think they are sick of seeing me lol
At first they thought maybe an infection so I had antibiotics which did nothing, now I'm on pain killers and use aqueous cream but it makes little difference.
I think they just see that I'm big so automatically go with that even though I have shown them I am loosing weight.
I won't give up with any of it, just wish the pain would end

so sorrry that your suffering hun, but as said above, keep going to your doctor then if they do get sick of seeing you they might get off their a**e and do something to help you xxx and wow at your amazing weight loss your doing fantastic xx

Sorry to hear you are in such discomfort - hope you find something that helps soon.

Just wanted to congratulate you on your losses to date - you must be so pleased!

I was in so much pain earlier that I rang nhs direct, and went to A&E. Straight away they said it was cellulitis and now I have antibiotics. So fingers crossed things will turn around. Get weighed later so it should cheer me up x

God help ya, I hope the pain will ease with the antibiotics, no doubt it will. Youre doing absolutely brilliant with a weightloss of 35 pounds. Hope you'ii be pain free in no time. xx
