daily mail newspaper

not sure what exactly it will say as blurb says;

Over five days, we will show you how to adapt the diet to suit the amount of weight you want to lose, and how to eat when you go on holiday. And, don’t worry, you can still have a great time enjoying delicious food and a glass of wine each day

also sugar free squash on shoping list ??

Excellent keep them coming claire.

Remember everyone that this is a HOLIDAY version of the diet (hence the wine etc...). And do we really believe that the Doctor has written this special version just for the Daily Mail... ;) (not that we're losing faith in the British press or anything...)

I'm avoiding the Daily Fail because the stupidity in the comments always make my blood boil.

sadly the sell out continues and those who do the holiday diet will be crying the week after the holiday that they are a stone heavier than when they started !!!!

keep an eye out too the hes not been in here nicking our recipies !!!!!!

I also predict a lot of new posters with the firm idea that a daily glass of wine is an integral part of the diet!

:D

Brace yourself - wine fuelled whining in three, two, one....

Errrm I think some already do incorporate the wine thing... or perhaps just at weekends, but having the week's worth!!

I suspect many of us do this once - and the hangover-from-hell persuades us never-ever-ever to drink in ketosis againQ

Must admit I am worried that people will not follow this properly.

My mishap (and many physical nasties) was caused from ignorance when I first tried DD. This time I know better and it is going well.

Fingers crossed not too many end up poorly!!

Sings **Fingers in ears**: Na na na I'm not listening. Sorry I really really can't be bothered with stuff like this anymore so no comment (and no I've not looked the article up either....

I have, cos I wanted to see whether there were any new things now allowed on attack that weren't previously! ;) I'm sticking to my "old school" ration of oatbran, mind. He's not gonna fiddle with my muffins!

We get the Daily Mail and I noticed this advertised last week. I got the Saturday paper but to be honest it said very little. I shall read it at some point during the week. I think it is sad if he strays from the principles of the diet to just sell a product. Very sad indeed. You see people come on here, very little knowledge of the actual diet and principles and wonder why it doesn't work. I feel a bit protective of the diet but will be hard to feel that way if it is watered down consistently.

I did read a few of the comments on the Daily Mail board and it made me so cross I nearly signed up to have a go! Then I realised it really didn't matter what others think to be honest. I shall remain Dukan Pure in my heart.

Me too! I had to sit on my hands.

I feel caught between a rock and a hard place, between the ignorance of the "it's just that Atkins crap with a new label/just join WW/it's must be baaaaaaaad for you crowd" and the frustrated innocence of the "Why can't I drink vodka/buy fruit yogurt/use Brand X lo-fat salad dressing/eat BAAACON" new comers.

In the end though, the best answer is to stick to our guns, and let our own health and happiness speak for us - I know I've brought two more Dukaneers to the fold from my family, and even forced them to admit that gin, bacon sandwiches and chocolate sprinkle mullers really weren't in any version of the book except the one they wish they'd read.

did you guys notice that this version doesn't mention bacon AND it says "Specifically branded low-fat ham (cut any rind off) and dried beef (bresaola)."

Anyone ever seen "low-fat ham" mentioned on a package? (It is over here, and it's horrid!!)

Now that would be a good diet.

Two people at the weekend asked what I had done to loose the weight as they thought I looked so healthy with it too. I said to spend the money on the book and read it and see if it is what you want to do after that. I love the diet but as individuals it isn't right for everyone. It isn't going to be right for anyone if it keeps going this way!

Waitrose have a lovely "low-fat" whole ham in their deli-section described as typically 3.5%. It's very tempting, but I sadly suspect it will have had sugar or honey in the brine....
