Hi Everyone, :sign0144:

I have been doing Slimming World for 2 weeks now & this website has already provided so much support. I find reading people's diarys & success stories so motivational, I thought I would start my own diary.

People talk of a specific moment that they decided they needed to loose weight, I dont have one specific moment in time. I have been lucky to not have a chair break on me or to be ridiculed in anyway. My 'LightBulb' moment came when I was sat in my conservatory, browsing the web. I came across the SW site & read about the online option & thought 'that could work for me'!!

I immediately ran to tell Hubby what I wanted to do, he was hugely supportive. He suggested we paid for it straightaway and he also went out to buy some new scales. I had an feeling I would need new, as my old ones only went 23st and kept reading error!!

When Hubby came home with the scales, was when my 'Weight' finally hit home!!

24st 5lb!!!!!! :faint2:

I have NEVER weighed this much! There was tears & more tears..... Hubby gave me a huge hug & said 'There is no good crying about it, we got ourselves into this state, we need to get ourselves out of it'!! (He has weight to loose also) These words were soooo true & were the final push I needed.

Thats was 2 weeks ago now & I am more motivated than I ever have been in my life! I know I am on a LONG Rollercaoster ride but I know its one I am going to get to the end of!!

MY ASPIRATIONS (non weight related)
1. To be able to wear Sky Scraper Heels again!! Without worrying the heel will snap!!

2. To ride a horse again, something that I used to LOVE to doing!!

3. To go to Florida in Nov 2012 & not have to worry about if I will fit into the 'Big Seats' or not!!

My Weight Aspirations
I am setting my mini goals each week, with such a HUGE amount of weight to loose I will scare myself to death if I start talking about stones!:hide: So little milestones are easier to aim for. My first goal was to loose 1 stone in the first 2 weeks!!

My RollerCoaster Ride so far!!
Well I am still going up that first hill, full of excitement about the journey ahead!
Week 1 - 7lb
Week 2 - 7lb
I achieved my 1stGoal - 1 st in 2 weeks!!:party0011:

I am out of the 24's and into the 23's !!!!

My Challenge this week is to loose 6lb, as this would take me into the 22's, which feels so much better than the 24's!!

I am sure there will be lots of ups and downs on this journey but I am in it for the long haul!

Hopefully reading back my diary will give me inspire me when I am feeling a little down. I also know I will have great support from Hubby & the lovely people on this site!!

It's fantastic to read that your husband is so supportive, I never told my ex what I weighed because his idea of a diet was me just eating salad! I started at over 25 stone last year and have lost almost 3 - definitely been taking the scenic route so far! You have had an amazing start - I look forward to Reading how you are getting on x

Hiya Sugarplum,

Firstly well done on taking the step to join SW, and secondly on starting a diary.

Your opening post was so truthful and honest that if you don't mind, I will be following you with interest:)

Hubby is a good man to be so supportive, and even more so that he is willing to embark on your weight loss journey with you.

Well done on losing 1 stone in 2 weeks, that is absolutely amazing!

You can do it, keep up the good work xxx

Hi Ginlin,

You are more than welcome to follow my diary, it nice knowing that people are interested in how I am doing. It will also spur me on when I am having a bad week! :break_diet:

I weighed myself this morning and I have put a 1lb on!! :cry:And I have been an 'Angel' since by official WI on Sat! (I know I should'nt weigh daily, I just cant help it)LOL

I am not disheartened and I am still going for my 6lb.. I would love to be in the 22's by weekend! :party0011:

Your hubbie sounds brilliant. I might add him to my list of hubbies to borrow :8855:

You've lost loads of weight in such a short space of time. Well done :)

My first 2 weeks have seen HUGE losses but I know that this will slow down. I just need to work harder and excercise more to keep it coming off! :girlpower:LOL

Rainy Sunday!

Its a Damp & Rainy Sunday!

Now in the past, a miserable day like this would mean only one thing.... Film day, with a KFC Big Daddy Box & a Bag of Mintrels!! :eating:

BUT Not any longer......

Today I have enjoyed 2 weetabix, Vanilla Muller Light & Strawberried for breakfast! Followed by a Ham Omlette for Lunch! Inbetween which I did 30 min of Pilates!!:happy036:

Hiya Sugarplum, just want to say what an AMAZING start to your weight loss journey. Definately keep posting your food diary, will definately be looking to see how well your going. all the best x

Hi Sugarplum, as someone with similar amounts to lose I just wanted to pop by and say welcome, well done on the FANTASTIC start and I'll look forward to getting to know you better!

My OH and I are following the plan together, it makes it so much easier when you have a good support network. We've just finished a lovely EE sunday lunch plus pudding, some diet this eh!

Take care xxx

Wow, you have lost in 2 weeks, what it's taken me 6 months to lose!!! I know obviously I don't have so much to lose, but you have achieved so much already - long may it continue :) Excellent first post, looking forward to reading more x

Hi Sugarplum

Well done on an amazing weightloss so far. You are doing brilliantly :D

Don't become a serial weigher, its not a good thing. You will see that weight can fluctuate by several pounds from one day to the next sweetie, and to get on when been 100% and the scales say put on ie 1lb, or 3lb, can really make an emotional eater go off plan, when had we not jumped on those scales we would have stuck to plan and lost that week. Take it from one who knows ;)

Absolutely fab that your OH is being so supportive :)

I am hoping to have lost the bulk of my weight by Novembr 2012 too. For my silver wedding anniversary.

Anyway will pop in and see how you are getting on

love
Jackie

Hi Sugarplum,

I just wanted to say that your weightloss so far is amazing, and well done you!!

I started SW again last wednesday, and i made the fatal mistake of weighing myself today, lol, not lost a thing.... so i made myself go out for a while.
It is true what they say, never weigh yourself mid week.... but i have ALWAYS done it, and no doubt always will lol.

Good luck with your next 6lb target!!!

:D

Wow what a brilliant start!

About the weighing thing. You have to make friends with your scale. I now weigh everyday because I find it helps to see which foods send the weight up and which don't. I then cut down/out the foods that make the scales soar. With me it's usually carbs/sugar.

I also keep an Excel chart for my weight as it is good for keeping tabs on how TOTM effects your weight. If you know it's going to happen you can plan for it or even not weigh that week if you feel you will react emotionally/badly to water retention showing on the scales and trigger a "to hell with it let's eat" session.

OMG.... 'BEFORE PICS'

Thank You ladies for all your lovely comments & support - I really appreciate it! :flowers:

I do agree that weighing daily can have a negative effect and after this morning, I will leave it a couple of days. Dont think I could leave it the full week though! LOL :ashamed0005:

OMG - This afternoon, I got Hubby to take 'Before' pics of me. FULL LENGTH - Front / Back & Side!! :yuk:

I dont think there are any pics of me full length... Infact if you were to see my photo albums, you would worry if I even had a bottom half!!! There is no evidence of anywhere of Lumpy Bum, Tum, Hips or Thighs!!

I plan on taking photo's each month, I am just hoping I find it motivational, even if I can see the slightest improvements! :ashamed0005:

Well done Sugarplum, you've done amazingly well so far! Look forward to seeing how you get on, I'm sure you'll do brilliantly :) It's great to hear how supportive your husband is.
