Carbs and alcohol

I am out drinking on sat, my CDC told me to avoid carbs still is this ok?

I'm gonna be off plan for the day but still intend to be relatively good ie have a steak and salad and avoid carbs? Will this be ok or should I be eating carbs if I'm gonna drink?

I really don't want to ruin my hard work and gain!
 
I think steak n salad will be fine to be honest! They say more not To drink as it can lead to eating eg, getting a mcdonalds on the way home Hahahaha! Think you'll defo get possed quick tho haha x
 
I ate carbs on purpose to get out of ketosis last weekend cause I knew I was having a fair bit to drink and this week has been so hard, haven't gotten back into ketosis so I've been starving all week which has lead to picking, bad times.
So yeah my 2 cents, avoid the evil carbs :'(

Vodka and tonic is lowest in carbs I believe! :)
 
ive read that (but thank you) this is why i asked about the carbs but my cdc said not to so i was confused?! i thought eating lots of protein and a big meal of steak and salad would knock me out of ketosis anyway? If not i will have carbs but only with my meal x
 
The citric acid in the diet coke will knock u out anyway I think which is why only coke zero is allowed so if it's going to be safer, maybe just have a small portion of carbs with your meal? I don't really know to be honest, all I do know is I got so drunk so quickly hahaha x

Lots of protein and salad won't knock you out if ketosis. Quite the opposite. That's what people are advised to have if they're eating and want to remain in ketosis.

You'll really need to have carbs before that to ensure you're out ketosis. I usually have something like sandwiches at lunchtime and by evening I'm out of ketosis.
 
vodka is alcohol. your body processes this before anything else so it won't be burning fat whilst it is burning the alcohol. very dangerous to drink whilst in ketosis on CD. in atkins you can drink whilst in ketosis but you eat more food on the atkins and even in that diet they say not to drink or limit it.

if is far better to eat carbs and come out of ketosis before drinking and i must warn you that you will get drunk very quickly!
