Jacket vs other cooked potatoes

I have been pointing jacket potatoes as the same as all other potatoes eg 50g = 1pp, but I read on another thread that jacket potatoes are more? Is this right?

Cheers

hi hun i usually say a normal size is 4points but i think there more the bigger they are i have to get scales am just goin by what is in book x

That's what it says on the ww website!

i ususally get a pack of 4 jacket pototoes and say 4 but i havnt had them for a wile x

No no no! Jackets aren't more! There's another thread from earlier today, but the long & short of it is that you need to weigh them raw.

If you boil a 200g (4pp) potato, it'll still be close on 200g when cooked, whereas if you bake a 200g potato, the water will evaporate, and when cooked it becomes a 100g(ish) potato, the amount of potato in there is still the same but much less water, so is still 4pps. Does that make sense? Xx
