Hi, ive always stuck to reds and greens so think that in finding it hard ti get over thst hurdle.

Im going to try an ee day today, which if someone could look over for me that would be fabulous - i cant just get my head around it.

So here it goes:

B - cooked brekkie, bacon trimmed, beans, scrambled eggs or fried egg with frylite, mushrooms cooked in fry light, bread (heb) syn sausages

L - ham, cheese (hea) salad with pickles, sweetcorn and beetroot

D - h/m chicken jalfrezi and rice. Perhaps syn a bajhi/samosa or h/m bombaby potatoes or sag aloo s/w way

Any help would be grately appreciated

Thanks

You've got the basic right, I think you probably need to add more superfree to brekkie & dinner though 1/3rd of your plate should be superfree on extra easy

i don't think you are getting the superfree right to be honest.

Breakast - only superfree is the mushroom but was it one third of your plate?

Lunch - looks okay but remember that Sweetcorn is not superfree

Dinner - where is the superfree? there is nothing at all listed there unless it is in the ingredients

And don't forget your syns!

Arrgh, sorry am on phone and its gone to orange which is ****

Breakkie - smaller portion with loads of mushrooms, i thought eggs were s/f?, syns in 2 asda red fat saus, followed by bowl fresh fruit, melon, pineapple and grapefruit.

Dinner - will add mush and onions into curry, also sep side of chopped red peppers, onion and cue with a dip made from ff nt yog and chopped mint. H/m pots have toms in

Syns - its sat so that means a couple of bacardis with d/coke in evening

Thank you circes x

Fruit after meals as your 1/3 superfree is a bit if a contentious issue with me. The idea of having 1/3 superfree is to limit your consumtion of the heavier free foods on your plate. When you've already eaten it all anyway, adding fruit on top seems counterproductive, unless you serve a little less of your meal taking the fruit after into consideration. Having fruit as dessert is great but I don't think should count towards your 1/3 superfree. Generally how I see it is, it should be ON your plate to count.

Everything else looks great though!

After reading your menu, I was just about to post a similar response to Circes, but in the meantime you have already changed your menu, and it looks good now :D

I think thats why i dont tend to do much ee, - i dont like veg, i just stick to the basics - but without cabbage, brocolli etc yuck, my veg tends to be peas, carrots, pepper, mush and onions (im hopeless!)

That's why I normally stick to red/original, and only do extra easy when I am having either rice or pasta as my main meal, which is normally only once or twice at the most.

Off the superfree list what would you eat? A good tip I think is to plan your meals round the superfree foods and to serve up the superfree part of your meal first.
If there really aren't that many of the superfree foods that you like it may not be ideal for you to do ex easy that often. Might be worth you doinga list (and maybe sharing with us?)
I'm lucky that I love lots of fruit and veg so do ex easy a lot of the time nowbut did losea lot of weight following green days at first :)

Being a vegetarian who didn't eat much veg (!!) EE has REALLY encouraged me to widen out with food choices & now I couldn't eat more veg if I tried! There's the odd thing I hate, like mushrooms, but my EE dinners are colourful, delicious & filling & I've never felt this healthy. Fill up on more veg :)! X

Superfree list

Please dont laugh, its going to to be a very small list believe me:

Beetroot
Carrots
Cucumber
onions and shallots
Leeks - only in stewy things
Lettuce
Mushrooms
Peppers
Tomatoes - now these im really fussy with, can only eat when they have been made into sauce meal ie chilli or bolognaise

I did try courgettes once before but then they were extra thinly slices and cooked in tempura batter :)D)

I have now widened my fruit as well as I wouldnt eat much only bananas, but now I also have fresh pineapple, grapefruit, tangerines/satsumas, grapes, kiwis, peaches and mangos every so often

I know, im hopeless

Any help would be fab

You have got quite a lot to work with there don't be hard on yourself :) You could do curries, casseroles, bolognese/chilli, salads etc all ex easy friendly and thats without the fruit for snacks and puds!
Maybe try a few days ex easy in with your red/green days and see how you get on?Maybe you will increase your liking for veg/fruit as you go along?
