Hour by Hour - Thursday 6th

Good Morning Spooky,

I hope you have a great day with your Mum & Sis.

I finally joined the gym last night, I only did a little bit although I was there for ages, it was my induction. The people are really friendly there.
I burnt off 200cals just on the treadmill and crosstrainer and thought, "great, but I'm only consuming 415 cals per day, surely I should'nt be doing this". And today, I feel quite light headed as I sit here. I didnt drink half as much as I should have yesterday so I would say it's a mix of the two why I feel like this. I don't know if I should continue with the cardio though. I plan to go back possible tonight or tomorrow to be shown some free weights which I know will be hard but I would have thought that I wouldnt be burning off nearly as many cals than when doing cardio. I really don't want to be ill. I can't up my plan either coz I really do have to ss coz I can't be trusted yet to keep within the portion size etc... I would feel safer doing cardio if I was on the 790 plan but just can't do it yet. Your suggestions would be most appreciated hun.

I would only go to a level you are comfortable with hun, if you feel light headed etc then stop! I feel better going on 790 rather than SS though, so maybe time to move up a step for you?
I was doing alot of walking before I started going to the gym so I already had a fitness level anyway. The first few times at the gym for me were no harder than a brisk walk!

SJ you must be careful with the exercise, as you are aware your calorie intake on SS is very low..If you do too much you will feel light headed and not well...if you intend to keep this form of exercise up then you really should go up a plan. If you prefer to stay on SS then maybe try lighter excercise like brisk walks or swimming. Please be careful, hate to think that you would make your self ill after doing absolutely brilliantly so far. You are an inspiration to lots of us on here.;)

I am ready to tackle another day SSing..managed 5 litrs yesterday, will try for same today...really need a good loss this week after the mini one last.:tear_drop::(

I did the same yesterday, I rode 10K's on an excercise bike, burnt off 270 calories and thought 'oh dear' that is nearly half of what I get a day (I am on 790), feel OK though, but now my dilemma is that muscle is heavier than fat and maybe if I keep excercising my losses will be less. I feel really quite like I have lost weight in the mornings, but after the water and the shakes etc by the evening I just feel fat again, anyone else have the same ?

sj, just be carefull hun would hate you getting ill, do swimming instead maybe as you dont feel ready to move up a plan.

I feel strange today, NOT CD RELATED, being that i live in suffolk we have a 3 teir school system and my youngest started middle school (yrs 5-8) yesterday, and i took her to school as normal, but today she has walked to school without me :(, she has walked with some of her friends!!!, it does feel so odd after doing the school run for 10 yrs !!!:eek:

Any way going to aim for another good day with :tear_drop::tear_drop: intake!!!
have had 1 coffee so far and almost finished my 1st ltr :tear_drop:

As you can see from my mood Im grumpy! Came into work this morning and were getting a new server in so Ive lost all my emails and folders that I had :mad: waiting on the IT guy to come back and fix me!

Day 5 in the CD house! Doing ok. Really hungry this morning. Have an unvelieveable urge to weigh myself but my hubby hid the scales so I cant :sigh: I seem to have a fear that I wont have lost?? But I have stuck to it 100%.

I had a dream last night that I ate a bar of chocolate and this morning when I woke up I kept saying...I cant believe you caved in an had a bar of chocolate....it took me an hour to figure out if I had actually eaten it or not but nope! not a morsel passed my lips :D

Sophia-jo I think id take it easy just to be on the safe side. Maybe even a walk in the evenings would help instead of the gym for a while??
 
Morning Guys... there's lots of you on here early this morning.

SJ - take it easy with the exercise, you've had some rough'ish days on the diet make sure you don't go backwards and start feeling c**p again... you'll lose the weight exercise or no exercise - you're proving that darling. I think it's important to stay well and when you're nearer goal and going up the stages, take more regular exercise on board..

Spooky - have a fab day today with mum and sis - hope you've something nice planned?

Hedge - you're doing great, hope you have another brilliant day.

Saff - Ah bless - I really miss not being able to take my DS to school everyday (I won't go on because I moaned on yesterday's thread about it) hope you've got your feet up watching GMTV? Will you be collecting them? Have a great day.

I'm doing ok - have had my morning breakfast Tetra and have poured out my first jug of water with S/Berry.... same old, same old!!!

Suppose to be 24 degrees here today but not much sign of it yet.

Just a point that about the myth of Muscle weighing heavier than fat!!

2lb of Muscle = 2lb Fat........

What is heavier 1 ton of straw or 1 ton of feathers??
 
having a good so far, did school run with three children and number 4 starts next week, the house will be quiet with only 2 left at home. Sons 10th birthday went well, fed the kids and hubby pizza and chips and then left room to wash up and when his birthday cake come out (rich iced fruit cake~) i left the room again as i was literally salivating at the thought, managed for nothing to pass my lips so was very pleased.

Washed all down stairs carpets yesterday but new couch came an hour earlier than time slot so haad to move it around the room. Also got hit on the head with the carpet cleaner and have huge bump on head. I was doing the cellar stairs and asked hubby to move it down to next step so i could reach last one and when he picked it up the handle came off and the cleaner fell down on top of me and banged my head. How embarrassing hurt by a carpet cleaner lol

Well off to clean upstairs carpets before clients come.

Muscles are not heavier than fat. One pound of muscle weighs exactly the same as one pound of fat. A pound is a pound. However, since muscle is denser, it looks smaller than fat, so you can look smaller but weigh more if you have more muscle than fat, I guess that is what I should have said.

Hey All

Day 4 now and feeling quite good really!

Managed to have about 4 litres yesterday! Struggling with all the water but ive had my first shake of the day today as i was leaving my shakes a bit late and my counsellor said my body would think it was in starvation mode!! So had one at half 9 and have nearly finished a litre!!
Trying to have 5 litres a day if i can manage!!

Started Monday but wont be having my weigh in until 19th September so hoping for a good result!

Im having my weigh ins every 2 weeks!!

So wish me look i think i will need to be really strong over the weekend!!

Morning all!

Today was my first week weigh in and i have lost 7 pounds! I was a teensy little bit dissapointed as i had hoped it would be a little more but i know that it will all balance out in the end.

This morning was a real test for me, there was a breakfast meeting with left over bacon butties, god they smell delicious but after having a GOOD look at them :) all i could think about was fat! think thats a good sign! yay! i looked deep into the eyes of the butty and it crumbled!!

yummy choc shake instead!

Hey all...

Im a bit late joining in today as have been for another job interview this morning. It was a 2nd interview for an admin job and Im feeling positive but wont know until next Tue or Wed. I had another nterview yesterday and that went well too... so we'll wait and see what happens.

Still going OK on the diet but not having WI till tomorrow because of the job interview this morning. Fingers crossed for a good one!
 
Afternoon Ladies!

I have new to the daily thread... so hello everyone!

I am a restarted and vary between 790 & SS. I am now 2 stone down (in 4 weeks!!!) Whoo hoo!

Doing fine today, went out with a friend last night to a pub on the river. She was hungry so we had something to eat. I had a prawn starter and mixed side herb salad with a smidgen of balsamic dressing (all together as one meal). Yum! She is a size 10 and had a flat bread pizza, chips & buttered bread and was not even the slightest tempted! It is so nice to have the option of 790. When I done LL many moons ago I avoided all social situations but now I can sit there with my leaves and be quite content and pleased with mysel. It is the first time in 4 weeks though that I really fancied a glass of wine but that soon passed!

I think I have to go for a medical for my work pension but I dont want to!! I always get loaded on them because of my weight...maybe if I stall them for as long as possible....:sigh:......anyway......

Hi guys, I'm late and this is just a quickie.

Been a bad bad girl. Went out last night and drank alcohol and got very drunk. Refused a kebab, although I did have a little sliver of the meat from someone else's.

Rolled home at 6am this morning, very tired but feeling ok now. Can't wait for the day to end because I have the day off tomorrow. But I have loads to do this afternoon :(.

Everyone else seems very cheery today and I am back at the packs today, and glugging the water. Have a great afternoon one and all xxx

just checking in on you all from Istanbul!

Im afraid its been impossible for me not to eat here. We havent visited for 18 months and as we are only here for 3 days my Mum-ın-law has made a really bıg effort wıth the food. It would look really rude to refuse.

Only eaten v v small healthy portıons tho so hope to be ok

Try to get on agaın later..someone wants to get on computer now
