urghh.. i got 2 weeks away with my kids at a caravan park at a busy theme park looming (next month)

kind of stuck as hubs isnt coming so cant get to a supermarket off site (i dont drive)so would be stuck to small on site shop with limited fresh stuff if any!

so plan on taking 2 weeks meals with us that can be chucked in our case's ie cans packets

the van only has limited frezzer space small bit in fridge

breakfasts are simple with cereals.. but after that im kinda stuck
eating on site is not an option as all junk food outlets

any advice would be great!

Beans n toast
spagetti hoops on toast
poached eggs on toast
mug shots

You could buy a rice cooker from Argos (£12 I think) and add sweetcorn, frozen peas & curry powder to it....really tasty!!

Sorry thats the only things I can think of at the minute!

Theres a thread full of ready meal ideas over in the syn values forum - nip over there for loads of ideas

id rather eat free foods rather then syned ready foods

urghh sulks back in the corner.. nibbles nails.. turns a little greyer in frustration stuggling to plan to be on plan

plz close.. sorry to ask!!! :sigh:

What about pasta, savory rice, quorn sausages, take some potatoes for jackets, tinned tuna, tinned sweetcorn, beans, tinned mushrooms, tinned tomatoes, eggs, fromage frais, yogurts, bacon medallions. Hope this helps xx

This might be totally off plan but is there any chance you could get a delivery? That's what I do, neither of us drive as I have epilepsy (and he is a nincompoop), so when we go on hols we get supermarkets to deliver to our caravan/lodge. You can get free delivery depending on supermarket/how much you spend etc. It makes life SOOOO much easier :) Have a great holiday x :)

I'm assuming you can take / buy fresh basics like potatoes, eggs and onions - as they should get you a fair way
in addition to above suggestions

Ainsley couscous is good with added veggies
take some lentils to make a pot of veg soup

There are lots of syn free options such as chickpea dahl, stew, steak and gravy and you will find them on the thread I mentioned. Don't assume all ready meals are synnable.

Add your free foods already mentioned such as rice, pasta, cous cous, potatoes and your superfree veggies and it's perfectly do-able. Just takes a bit of work - like anything else worth achieving.
