First day towards a new me.

i decided to keep a diary as i think it will help keep me focused. I have weighed and measured myself and am determined this time to get to my goal weight.

I have found today quite difficult to get through, its only 5.20pm and already had my Bar(which was awful), Chocolate shake (yum) and vegetable soup (yum), so hoping the evening goes quick or i could end up in bed very early. Dont have the energy to do a 20min work out like they suggest. I am feeling very drained but hoping this feeling will not last.

How do you guys get through the day with so little to eat? any tips would be great thank you.

Anyway i am 3/4 through my first day, and determined not to cave in even though i have just spent an hour food shopping and then cooking what smelt like a very tasty dinner. Oh how i wish i could of popped one of those sausages in my mouth but resisted.

With most other diets i would of given in and thought to myself i will make up for it tomorrow.
I know there are a few of us that started today so good luck and hoping my fellow 7/7 dieters got through today also.

Good luck dee you will cope . Having done this before can only suggest that if you are on the verge of caving in later to have another 1/2 pack ..,,,just don't eat anything else !! I am sure the more experienced dieters will have other ideas . X

Hi Dee, stay strong, keep focused, remember all that excitement we were feeling before we started. . . you can do this.

One day at a time, I'm sure my enforced starve earlier in the week has helped me through the worst part already as I can honestly say that for the first day in my life I haven't even thought "what can I eat?" and I have two children to cook for too!

What I'm trying to say is that it should get a whole lot better - I had no choice about starving because of my appointment and once you've done 2 or 3 days it's much easier.

Another day tomorrow. . .

Night night..of to bed now xx

I am finding day 2 very difficult, does it get easier? I have almost caved in a couple of times especially when serving the familys dinner up and feeling so shaky and hungy :(
Now tucking into my Thai Chicken Soup which is ok not as nice as the vegetable soup yesterday.

Really hoping now that day 3 is easier, as i know if it gets any harder i will cave in :( I am feeling such a failure already.

Good luck all my fellow 7/7 dieters, hope its going better for you all.

Hi dee me on day 2 as well and yeah it's tough .... Hold in there tho as it does get easier (need to repeat that to me in mirror) ... I think if we can get to day 4 or 5 ketosis kicks in and you start to feel full and happy. ( I think I remember !!) . It's cold today so maybe drink a cu of bouillon and redbush tea ..., you will make it .... X

Thank you so much for the support. If I know it's going to get easier then I think I can hang in there so you have to aswell :)
We have the same goal and very similar start weights, it would be good to have you as a exante buddy. Roll on day 3 and thank you xx

Oh that sounds like a plan ! Hope you doing ..,,, let's keep in touch and we can support each other . If similar goal then we should have similar losses (I think?!!)

Weekend is always tough the first time ;I dud Cambridge 6 years ago with less weight to lose) but this diet means it goes fast so is worth it ...., :)))))

Hi Dee,

:hug99:

Sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it again today:(.

I'm sure once you get into ketosis you'll feel loads better. Have you got a plan for the weekend? I'm looking forward to hearing that you're feeling a whole lot better on Monday.

Those weak and wobbly moments are tough.

I'm trying to think of ideas that might help you get through the day....

I find that there are some places I don't really feel like eating. For example, in bed with a good book or cosy in front of the telly, on my exercise bike or doing some light weights workout. I focus on trying to get my surroundings really nice and doing something I enjoy. It takes my mind off anything.

Another thing is I love a big mug of hot water.. it's very comforting.

Brushing my teeth helps with any moments you feel you might just bite that... whatever!

I have pondered long and hard over why I want to lose weight and what I want to achieve and what the benefits will be. I even made a long list on paper. This has led to me to be able to imagine more clearly the future with a thinner me in it! I visualise things when I'm struggling just to keep me going.

Try not to lose that focus and just take things a day at a time. (that applies to a lot of things in life, doesn't it? :) )

I hope things get better for you. Good luck. :D

Thank you Littleone for the advice, i think i shall be heading to bed very shortly lol.

Again, started the day feeling positive but have found it has got harder as the day has gone on. I can no longer stand the vegetable soup and the thai chicken is also yuk, dont like the bars so just on shakes now. I have also given in and eated some salad leafs as i felt so hungy.
I am just no good and keeping on track with a diet, i am feeling like a complete failure.
Also weighed myself last night - the end of day 2 and scales showed i had lost 5lbs which is fab and should be enough to keep me going but im just not sure if i can :(

Thank you again for all of the continued support

Hey dee 5 pounds is amazing and a couple of salad leaves won't harm you at all !! You are doing so very well. The shakes get better honest !! I actually licked my finger after my soup last night !!!! Gross !!

Have you any bars ? I cut mine up into tiny pieces and pop them in the fridge ... Like mini sweets ....

Hold in there , have a cuppa and maybe an early night ? You can also drink your shakes hot or use the vanilla as milk for milky tea lattes etc .....

Or mix the choc shake like cake mix and zap in microwave for a min = muffin ....

Hope this helps xxx

Morning dee, how are you? 5lbs is a great start and will hopefully keep you motivated to stick with it. I think the first week will be the hardest then hoping it gets easier. I am on day 5 today. Yesterday was quite difficult for me, as it was first day at work where I couldnt eat anything. Normally I would scoff cakes, biscuits, sweets and anything else that I could that helped me get to this size, I was even tempted to open up a sandwich just to eat the ham but i didnt. If you need any support I am here. xx

Thank you Jinty for the support. I have woken up as i normally do feeling positive just hope it lasts through out the day. I think today is going to be a toughy with the sunday dinner to cook.
I find being back at work easier as i have plenty to take my mind of missing the food, so hopefully if i can get through today next week will be easier.
Hope your day goes well for you, we are also here for you if you need some support.

Good luck

Dee
