Hi guys

Biting the bullet and starting a thread - I have been browsing everyone else's for a while now and I love how supportive you guys are to each other and I think this is what I need to keep me focused long term.

My start weight is 14st 4lbs :-( the heaviest I have ever been - I was down at 12st about 1 year ago but the bad eating and lack of exercise came back and bit me on the ass. So here I am ready to get going for what I hope is the last time.

A wee bit about me - this first but might not surprise you lol - I have a daughter who is 3.5yrs called Lucy and i live with my partner Stephen, Lucy and harry the dog in glasgow. I am currently finishing 2nd year of my nursing degree whilst working at nhs24 evenings and weekends so my life is pretty hectic. I try to exercise as much as possible - normally i aim for 4/5 times a week.

I will be sticking to 1220 cals per day as per mfp.

Thanks for reading xx

Hi lucysmommy,

welcome to ccing! Alot of people tend to come over to us as we are pretty laid back people on a pretty laid back eating plan. We really like to have a laugh and tease each other, but we are always there when the chips are down!! (ooh, chips)

Really looking forward to reading your diary. Good luck :D

Hi

Hey! Welcome and good luck! Yeah calorie counting isn't so bad when you have all these lovely people to support you :)

So first morning and i am trying to hold
Off until I take Lucy to nursery before I have brekkie as she will just eat it all lol

I am thinking of having a breakfast wrap - sliced quorn sausage, egg and cheese hmmmmm..... Breakfast is sore point for me :-( always feel I need a huge cooked brekkie.

I am also off to the gym tonight for a new plan as I have completed the first 6 week plan - I keep thinking how much weight I would have lost in the past 6 weeks if I had behaved myself instead of messing about :-( hoping to pick up running again now this calf/shin pain has gone

Oh well today is the first day of the rest of my life and I feel good about it this morning

Hi Kirsty,

Well done for getting on the wagon of cc'ing. I started yesterday and find the kcal counting very straight forward. U sound very positive and when u are in that frame of mind it definitely helps.
Good luck in your journey. Will be checking in here to see how ur doing :) xx

Lucy is my name too :D Whereabouts roughly in Glasgow are you from? (I know this is the internet, so you don't need to tell me if you don't want to!)

There's nothing wrong with having a big breakfast, if you're body tells you that it works better if you fill yourself up in the morning then you should honor that. Good nutritious breakfast though (as most typical cooked breakfasts are, it's the frying them that makes them heat attack specials). You've got protein (quorn sausages) which will keep you fuller for longer, and the super foods that are eggs and some cheese, which is high in calcium :) I would suggest though using a reduced fat or half fat cheese. They've got much less fat but the same (if not more) calcium. And I can't tell the difference in taste !

I'm up in Rhu near Helensbrugh/Loch Lomond! And Hillington is a big place I'm sure I won't find you lol!

You should enjoy it - it sounds delish :D All you're missing is the (reduced sugar and salt) beans lol!
