Recommendations for weighing scales

Anyone recommend some good scales? Mine are very old now and I think at times a little dodgy. I know not ideal to change them in the middle of a diet but I figure if I weigh myself on the old ones and then the new ones I can take into account any differences that way.

My scales are just tescos own brand - they were about £16 I think, digital, measure in Kg, lbs or st and lbs. They don't do that fancy BMI thing because quite frankly, BMI is only a rough guesstimate - only accurate way to really get that is to be measured with the little nippy calipers apparently!

Mine are glass and very easy to keep clean. You just tap them to switch them on.

Thanks for those recommendations ladies. I shall have a look. Mine are definately playing up now which is very disheartening. They are doing the same for all of us so I am not being paranoid - lol.

Is there a difference between scales?

I have ones that also measure bmi but that part doesn't work anymore and I have to stand on them a second time to register the correct weight. These were quite expensive.

I picked up digital scales in IKEA yesterday on sale for £6.50! Do you think they are less accurate than the more expensive ones? They seem to be consistent but do show a slightly different weight to the other scales.

I am just waiting for my new scales to be delivered, should be today. I have bought the ones from ebay so I shall be interested to see what they say. Body fat, I wonder!

My scales arrived today, easy to program and I was pleasantly surprised. They weigh just over a lb lighter than my other ones but have left my stats the same until I finish the cruise on Thursday. The % fat came in at 25% which I am very happy with and shows that my goal weight is just about right. For my age optimal is between 22-30. Hubby likes them too and since he has lost an identical amount of weight (and I mean idential I started at 10st 1lb he was 13st 1lb, these scales said 9st 2.8lbs for me, 12st 2.8lbs for him!) his %fat is now healthy as well.
