I get worried that i am excersisig too much

my week is as follows

mon : run (couch to 5k program)
tues: swim 1/2 mile
weds : weigh in and zumba
Thurs: run (c25k)
fri: rest
Sat: run (c25k)
sun: swim 1/2 mile

I have stupidly stepped on the scales everyday this week and they seem to be creeping up!! i only need 1/2 pound to reach my stone!!:cry:

Hello!

You exercise more than I do, but I think only you can decide if you're exercising too much. Do you feel good for doing it? Does it make you feel better? Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the weight if you're watching your calories also - it's probably muscle, which will help you with your metabolism in the long run.

I personally exercise 3 times a week. About 80/20 cardio/weights. I also have a fairly active lifestyle and walk a lot.

Muscle weighs more than fat. So with all the exercise your doing you will be building up muscle which could explain things.. As to weather or not, as Cherry Pie say's only you know that.

I do Zumba 3 times a week,
Go for a good walk 3 days a week
and I've just started 30 Shred..

That should have read "weather or not your doing to much excerise ;)

I exercise 4-5 days a week with a combination of zumba and weights. I have my first ccing wi tomorrow so no idea how it effects losses. But im not worried cos i look more toned already and feel better for it!!!

Yer I've been thinking about it. I think I'll stick to it. I feel great and defo more toned . Hopefully body is just getting used to it and the weight will shift again. Exercise has gotta be good hey?!!

I exercise probably 6 days out of 7. Mainly because I was SUCH a couch potato before but am now discovering I enjoy exercising as it means I can eat more!!:D

As the others have said, do what you feel comfortable with. It can only be good news in the long run for your weight loss.

Exercise is almost always a good thing :)

I walk every day (around 5-8 miles on a normal working day)
I go hill climbing or long distance walking (15-25 miles) twice a week (burning 3000+ cals each time - which I then delight in eating back!)
I also do a class that's very like step, but more fun.
And I also do zumba/swimming/gym/bodypump if I can't get out on the hill for any reason :)

EDIT: Just to say, when I upped my exercising whilst doing SW, I put on half a stone over around 5 months. What a kick in the teeth. But since starting CC I'm losing consistently, despite doing a fair amount of exercise - beacause I use a HRM and eat back all of my cals :))))

I exercise everyday, mainly because I enjoy it and I want the extra cals to eat. I know if I overdo things as my body does not work as hard and I feel tired. When I feel like this I don't exercise the next day. Listen to your body, you will know if your doing too much :)

HRM? :)

Sorry - Heart Rate Monitor :)

Ive started the shred again but I've also ditched the car and started walking to pick my son up from school. I have a zumba dvd that I do about 5 times per week (sometimes less if hubbys home and not working in the eve). I also do various weights workouts for my arms that I find online as I'm really trying to sort my arms and back out.

I also want to start some sort of pilates/yoga thing to sort out balance, core and stretch my body!

I think if you listen to your body, you'll know if you're doing too much - like Shazzabir I can tell because I feel tired and have less strength/stamina. I also mix things up a bit more now and do different types of exercise (after sustaining a running injury - I no longer run) so that I am not overusing certain joints/muscles in my body.

But in general, exercise is a good thing! Make sure you are eating enough.

I don't think you are exercising too much but as everyone else has mentioned only you can really decide that.
I walk to and from work which is an hour a day at a brisk pace.
I do go to the gym 6 days a week.
Monday = Body Attack
Tuesday = Zumba
Wedensday =Zumba at home on my PS3 I could this as a rest day
Thursday= Salsacise and swimming sometimes Body Balance
Friday= Body Combat
Saturday is my rest day
Sunday = I just go to the gym do light weights and cross trainer ect.

I am going to up this next week to doing more weight as need to tone my back and bingo wings :)

I don't feel tired in fact I feel more energised.

Yup, knowing I can - MUST - eat back all those lovely cals makes me work much harder, and get off my ass where I might not have bothered ;-)
