Toning exercises

I thought we could start a thread of recommended toning exercises, and maybe have a daily extant exercise challenge like for example: 20 min walk, 30 sit ups, etc etc...

If we all did it together maybe it would motivate us more? Anyone keen?
 
It would be a good idea. I'm doing alternate days on the treadmill but I'd like to tone up my tummy on the inbetween days so this thread would be good.
 
yes I' d be up for that.I need to work on my arms & stomach
 
Shall we wait for everyone to see this thread today, then someone can set tomorrows challenge?
 
Oh yes, I'd be up for it. I don't know about you guys but my bum and thighs are huge. Would love it if someone could set a squats challenge.
 
Ok how about:

30 sit ups, 30 squats, 30 lunges, 30 push ups (on knees if easier)

You could make it cardio/circuits if you do 10/10/10/10 with 20 sec breather and repeat.

Should take approx 30 minutes

Anyone want to set tomorrow's challenge?
 
I'd like to join in, can't promise I'll do 30 of each but I'll give it a go..
 
Wow, those really get the heart going. Thought perhaps this would be a good challenge
-10-15 chair dips (where you sit on the edge of a chair with your hands supporting your body weight and then lower your bum down just below the chair seat)
-30 side leg raises (standing or lying down)
-30 front leg raises (standing or lying down)
-30 rear leg raises (where you are on all fours and extend your leg backwards to be horizontal with the ground).
 
I'm up for that, I'm off to the gym tomorrow so I shall do it then!
 
Well I've managed today's exercises. Any thoughts for tomorrow's challenge?
 
How about abs, seen as I've lost most of my weight off my stomach I think it would be a good idea.

How about some normal crunches, some side crunches (so do a normal crunch and sorta lean to the left/right so you are really targeting your waist), leg lifts (lie on your back with your legs straight, lift your legs up off the floor and hold) and the (dreaded) plank (google this if you need to as is hard to explain)!!

People can do any many or as little as they like.
 
Sounds like a plan. I'll do mine this afternoon.
