Lentil Dahl

I've just made this for the first time and it was very tasty and filling:). I had it with some ww malted danish bread, you could have it with pitta bread or some veg mixed in if you wanted. The dahl itself is 9pp.

Ingredients:
fry-light (or similar)
1 small onion (chopped)
1 clove garlic (crushed)
100g dry red lentils
tsp curry powder
200g canned chopped toms
400ml hot veg stock

Method:
1. Spray a pan with frylight and cook the onion and garlic for 5 mins.
2. Add lentils, toms, curry powder and stock.
3. Cover and bring to simmer
4. Lower heat and simmer for 15 mins or until lentils are soft.
5. Enjoy!
 
This sounds really delicious Claire - and healthy! I am trying to have a couple of meat free days a week so I will try this. Thanks.
 
how many does that serve? and is that 9pp for the whole recipe? thanks
 
That was a serving for 2, but I had it as a main meal for 1 with some bread. It's 9pp for the whole recipe. It was yummy!
