Buffalo Mince

Hello,

I'm not sure about the mince I generally stick to turkey mince.

As for bacon, personally I do eat it with the fat off but on very rare occassions as it is very salty and I only ever grill it to get rid of the excess fat/water.

I think with pork products (bacon and lean ham) it's a personal choice as many people on here don't have it as it wasn't allowed originally so it is your decision as to what you whether you want to eat it.

It might be worth not having it in attack and then when you are in to cruise and losing weight steadily, start experimenting then to see if it stalls you?

Hope that helps x

I can't see why the buffalo mince would be a problem. It's lower in fat than both lean turkey and steak mince.

Most exotic meats are very, very lean. I think the only reason there is no inclusion in the book for them is dependent on the availability of the meat in the country of publication of the book - the U.S. version, for example, has other additions - shark anyone?! - based on the different range of meats available there.

As for the bacon - I've been on the diet for over a year and haven't touched a piece of it :p If you consider than only the leanest ham is allowed, bacon really should stay off the menu - I think you're better off finding the lean ham and saving the bacon till Conso.

Thank you both for your replies, I have had the buffalo mince, it was nice but its quite expensive.

I've not had any bacon, I suppose I would have to try and see what effect it will have on me. I do have a lot of weight to lose so will be in cruise forever, so we'll see lol. :)
