Heya everyone :)

Just wondered if there are any maintainers out there who stay on track through calorie counting?

I've lost 6st with sw and reached target about a month ago, though still losing! :s I don't feel the freedom is there anymore :(

If I go out for meal I 'have' to stick within my syns which means I don't always have what I would really like! But I feel with calorie counting I would have more freedom in the food I eat and not worry about gaining weight if I have a chocolate pud! :)

To maintain my weight I need about 1700 cals which is no problem to stick to!

Really considering switching to here, what do you guys reckon?

Thanks :)

I lost 4 stone on Ligter Life and then another 2 stone on calorie counting.

Since I have been 'maintaining' I still count calories and have lost a further 4lbs which is annoying as I lost them AFTER I had my final wedding dress fitting and when you are smaller 4lbs does make a difference.

It's not because of the calorie counting though, it's because I'm still not eating enough (not eating all of my calories) partly because I am stressed with everything going on at the moment and partly because I never feel deprived or that I'm not eating enough so I need to up my healthy fats and calories.

I will be sticking with the maintaining with calorie counting though because I haven't gained I know it works.

I have a diary in the diary section with what I eat etc if you want to have a read

I'll be watching this with interest. I've lost just over 4 stone so far, and am daring to think that CC will get me to target for XMas :D I had planned returning to the SW way of eating, once I'm ready to maintain....

I kinda switch between following SW but also CC as well. As long as I don't go over my amount I am generally fine. Well done on your fab weight loss x :)

I'm maintaining with CC after losing over a stone loosely following the SW plan, then the last 3/4 of a stone counting calories. I hit my target of 146 a month ago and stopped smoking the following day with NRT. I use MFP, went up from 1200 to 1900 cals per day, and not gradually like some others( I didn't know that seems to be the best way to go at the time!). I've stayed at 146 until this week when I've lost 2lbs!! I've no idea why! It was my TOTM too! Anyway, just find keeping track so much easier with mfp and do allow myself the occasional treat day with no ill effects or gains so far. I also work out a few times a week.
It's working for me so I'd recommend it to anyone! :)
