Don't sweat the small stuff. Really. Another awful reminder....

Blonde Logic

Yes. You can.
Well, a sad start to the day for me.

A cyclist on their way to work no doubt, was hit and killed at the end of our road this morning. Just someone going about their daily routine - and BHAM! They are gone, forever.

Things like this always serve as a much needed reminder - don't sweat the small stuff.

So, next time any of us are dissappointed with a small loss - no loss - or a lapse - remember - it is not the end of the world. We have the chance to just keep going and to try harder.

Some people never get another chance. :(

How awful!!!!!! Serves as a reminder to treasure our loved ones and ourselves each and every moment :(

OMG, wow... How awful... :(

Does really bring it home doesn't it... We must appreviated what we have and keep things in perspective... And most of us, seize the day... Thanks for posting Hun, sorry your day started with such a traumatic awakening though...

Xxxx

So true BL,
We must all try and cherish each day.
You be careful on your bike too xx

sad to hear, but genuinely not surprising, the amount of people who have zero respect for cyclists as road users is shocking, people have driven their car at me, thrown things at me from their window, deliberately passed me close at speed while shouting expletives as i commute to work by bike is unreal... all because you hold them up for 2 minutes until its safe to pass

i've started wearing a HD helmet cam to while cycling... already had one person from a company who shall remain nameless fired for their antics in a company vehicle, quite right too tbh. just hoping what happened to that poor cyclist doesn't happen to me one day...

YEah Andy, I have been cycling to work now for nearly 2 months. So far, I have not - well - I don't even want to say it and jinx it. You can work it out Im suire. ;) But I am able to make most of my commute through a fairly quiet neighborhood with pavements I can easily hop on to for a moment if need be, so it is OK - but I am well aware of the abuse they get.

Unfortunately -same as everything in life - a few selfish cyclists- and they are out there (those who insist on riding astride each other making passing impossible; those who ride in the middle of the lane when completely unnecessary, etc.,) I am afraid some have brought it on the mass unfortuinately.

We just gotta look out for us and them, they may not see us but we see them - can be scary a close call here and there.

But, I love it. It is one way I can get some exercise that does not hurt my feet. (surgery in 18 weeks - will be great to have the option of a good brisk walk back!!)

I am waffling. :D

(oops - shouldnt have said that!!! )

Have a good weekend everyone. :)

xxx
