Sorry posting this everywhere just to get as many replies as possible!

Hi All,

I'm on day 10 of LT TFR, doing fine bit of a tired day today! Excited about losing!

Anyhow I am already thinking about 7weeks time, I have to refeed that week as it will be a week and a half before my wedding day which is August 18th!

So I plan to do a refeed week from Saturday August 6th, we fly to Spain on the 11th, just us up to the 13th so easy enough to plan and stick to the refeed week!

After this is all becomes scary on August 13th 50 of our friends and family join us in Spain .. And I can only imagine the party .. I am so excited but scared ..

How quick will weight come on? I think being busy up-to the 18th will stop me eating and drinking too much, so hopefully I will not bloat before the day! but we are there for another week after the wedding to let out hair down so to say!

I fully intend to enjoy all the fun and eating out but I am so scared of the regain, water retention and drinking alcohol so soon after refeeding! Has anyone any experience of this?

I just want to know what to expect!!

Any and all advise / experience welcome!

Excited and so scared all in 1!

First of all well done on what you've achieved so far and what a fabulous incentive you've got! How exciting! :D

If you want to keep any gain at bay as long as possible you could try to stay away from carbs as much as possible. By that I mean obvious ones like bread, potatoes, pasta, rice etc but have salads & veg & fruit. At first (at least) you'll find you can't drink too much alcohol but this will change depending on how much practice you get ;)

If you refeed properly - to the letter and don't go mad there's no reason why you should have much of a gain at all. However if your philosophy is - this is what I've done it for and I want to have everything - well then you will have a gain. How much of one will depend entirely on just how mad you go.

Having said all that - it's 2 weeks ....... how much weight can a person realistically gain in 2 weeks ... certainly not as much as you will have lost in 8+ weeks 100% TFRing. AND you now know you can lose it.

SO basically it's up to you ... how much of the work you will have done is it worth it to you to undo? You may say all of it, you may say none of it or more likely will be somewhere in between.

Be aware that some of any gain WILL be fluid not fat. You have to consume 3,500 EXTRA calories to gain 1lb of fat.

I'd say enjoy yourself, maybe think twice about what you have but if you really want it what the heck - it's a (hopefully!;)) once on a lifetime thing and you CAN sort out any damage later on.

Incidentally that will be much easier and quicker to do the sooner you get to it once you're back. The longer you leave it the harder it becomes as well as it probably ending up being more to shift!!

All the very best to you :D xx

Thanks Jan,

Love all the detials I was worried about very quick water retention / gain .. I am very scared it will be like 7lbs in the first day r two and then I won't fit in my dress! Eek!

Well I think it will be a case of going a little mad ... The way I look at it I have 1 bold week (first week up to the wedding I'll be way 2 busy to eat loads! The drinking might cause a dent through!)

Then I am home for a good week ... And then 3 week honeymoon in Florida ... Now that will be bold and I intend to enjoy everything it has to offer! ... And then when I have had my fill .. I will be straight back .. I'm promised myself that as my wedding present as I miss being slim so much .. Plus it's like giving myself a new wardrobe full of clothes if I comes back as I have lots of clothes which belong to 11st Becky I plan to reclaim! Wish me luck!

Definitely stay off refined (white) carbs as Jan says. I would also stay off fruit apart from berries in the run up to the wedding. You can let your hair down afterwards but you don't want to blow up before. Carbs will definitely do that to you. Good luck!
