Hi all

I'm starting Dukan tomorrow -
A quick question is horesradish allowed even in attack?
I goggled Dukan horseradish and found a site that said it is but it's not in the Attack part of book.

Many thanks

Hi Claire, I'm afraid I'm new too so can't answer your question, but hopefully one of the longer term Dukanners may be able to help you.
Good luck!

Cheers - this is what I found:

Inject instant flavor to your dukan diet menu by adding a small amount of seeded mustard. Both French and English mustards are allowed during most phases of the Dukan diet. Horseradish adds its own unique heat to meat and is actually also permitted during all phases. Just like in Japanese foods, wasabi, the kind of horseradish sauce, and ginger are both allowed. These go good together with fish, that is actually why they are often served with sushi

Check the ingredients - I would imagine different brands have different amounts of sugars, etc.

If you can get hold of some fresh, try and make your own version with some fromage frais. It's pretty nasty to peel/grate though, I believe (not tried myself).
