20g carb question?

Good Afternoon All

Newbie question, I have the book but can't seem to answer this question.

There's a 20g carb limit, which most of which should come in the form of salad greens etc. So if I where to have 250g of lettuce this would total up to approx 1.5g of carbs, and I have another 3.5g of other salad veg carbs. I can spend the other 15g of carb on anything else on the Induction foods list (limited cheese).

I'm taking it that pretty much everything has a carb count therefore I will need to check everthing that I eat and calculate it?

I would like to start Atkins on Friday so if I could clarify this it would be great!
