planned days off

What are peoples opinions of having planned days off? I'm scared that once I step off the cambridge wagon, I wont be able to focus and hop back on again. I have 3 events this summer.
25th July-fiancees birthday
2nd september-my 30th
18th september-My niece's christening.
I really want to take my OH out for his birthday, I really want to celebrate my birthday in style, and I know my sister is having a buffet at the christening, and Im a sucker for a buffet. Really don't know what to do. I think I may have found it easier if I would have lost the majority of what I have to lose, before these events, but I wont have.

Im worried about these too.. first one being 16th July when i go out with the girls from work.

I have been craving a dominos like you wouldnt believe so i am toying with the idea of having a small one that day before we all go out to knock me out of ketosis and line my stomach and give in to this craving (if its still there!) and enjoy the night out then get back on CD ss on the sunday and do some exercise to help compensate!

Its so tricky isnt it, but we have to live afterall!

If me thinking like this keeps me 100% until then i will be happy to cheat that day as long as i can snap back into diet mode and only allow myself that one day off!

The problem Im having is I dont know if I will be able to snap back into diet mode. I remember doing the diet before, and after losing about 2.5-3 stone, caving and having a mcdonalds chicken salad, but that satisfied me, and on I went to lose 5.5 stones. I even remember I lost 4lbs that week. I suggested to my OH we go to Nandos for his birthday, as I can have salad and chicken, but he's not keen, (he's a VERY fussy, VERY skinny man) I know what he will want, chinese, his favourite, and after all, it's his birthday, but I know that chinese will well and truly knock me out of ketosis. I know he will be peeved if we go out for a meal on his birthday and dont eat, whether that be a little snack, or a slap up meal. He's not 100% happy Im 'starving myself' to lose weight as it is.

before i started reading becks book i would of said no don't do it it will be hard to get back on to it. but now i think you have to allow planned times off cause its planned meaning you stay in control and don't feel guilty which leads to overeating.
i'd suggest getting the becks book and reading though it before you go.

I think planned days off are fine- you're right, we have to live!! Okay, your weight loss won't be as good as if you had stayed 100% but you're not going to gain several stones because you ate a slice of pizza!

I like the 90:10 rule- 90% of the time you eat healthily and 10% of the time you eat what you want. The reason I gained weight was because I ate what I wanted most of the time!!!

My Boyfriend is the same! He's a chef and isn't happy in the slightest about this diet.

Thats why I feel a failure coming along right now so im keeping myself out the way of the kitchen! Why do I want food when it makes me feel and look like crap? :( Ugh my bouncyness has gone and I just want to cry :cry:x

aw hun - once you complete day 1, you can then complete day 2 then 3 and then things will be soooo much easier i promise! I felt fed up on the afternoon of day 1 just due to boredom and thinking well i cant eat / drink anymore - great! But i told myself to knuckle down and shift the weight and i will be able to enjoy (sensibly) again whilst feeling better about myself! :) *hugs*
