Giving Up Bread

I have given up normal bread and replaced with rye - 4 days doing well :)

Have done it before and without fail I always lose weight

Anyone else doing this? How are you finding it?

I'm thinking about giving up bread too. I am addicted to it and could easily survive on nothing but a loaf a day! I'm not keen on cereal so not sure what I'd have for breakfast.

Good luck!

I was a bread and pasta addict and had been eating too much of it. Tried Dukan at the begining of the month and was not allowed it on attack. Am now back on GI (ish) and have not had any bread or pasta and do not miss it.

Feel so much better for it I would certainly recommend it.

I'm leaning towards the hunter gatherer sort of eating!

Yeah the only real carbs I'm eating is my cereal in the morning-weetabix or all bran or porridge as they're high in fibre. The rest of my carbs I'm getting from fruit and veg. Ryvita are handy to replace bread with alright :) The wholegrain ryvita is definitely more filling than the regular ryvita although the one with the pumpkin seeds is nice for a treat too!

I had cut the cereal out of my diet too (I had been eating natural fat free yoghurt yoghurt and fruit for brekkie) but it was just too little carbs and too little fibre so I reintroduced it back in.

Noooo! I can't give up bread. I tried to but I can't. Lol.

Just limit your intake. I think that will do. And take the wheat ones. But honestly, I can't bear the taste of wheat bread. I feel like eating plants or leaves or whatever it is in it. Lol.

I have stuck to it and lost four yes i repeat 4 pounds in the last 2 weeks. Not all down to bread but that def played its part. I am making my own spelt bread and that is a great sub. bit heavier but just fine - especially toasted.

I like the feeling of my waist reducing far more than i did the taste of bread!:)
