TS AAM Anyone AAM and not fall off the wagon?

Hi
I'm only on day 3 but am already planning ahead to my add a meal week!
Have seen quite a few people say that they find it really hard to get back onto total solution after adding the food, which is definitely something I'm worried about. Anyone out there who finds it easy to have a week of meals, and go back to TS after? Any advice on how to do it?
Thanks! :)

I have just done my aam week which I did for a few days. I hated it and I'm now back
On day 2 TS. I feel better already. I felt guilty, sick and bloated.

What is weight loss like on AAM? Do u still lose or gain a little as ur body is not used to food?

I took the Mick as I was allowed to eat and had a Chinese. I will weigh in Monday but I think I will stay the same. But others do it correctly and still lose about 3 pounds. Good luck x

I'm adding a meal at weekends, I'mean a proper atkins, veg and meat meal. I will find it easier to do TS 4/5 days out of 7.

At the beginning I did TS and then AAM - and stuck totally to low carb meals. I found it easy to go back to TS, as I was really focused. I still lost something like 2.5-3lbs on AAM week. More recently I do much more of a mix of TS & WS - and do find it harder being really strict - but I'm 38 weeks into it now, and the novelty has well and truly worn off! I'm just following a hundred day chart at the moment, to try and get me to the end of my goal!

I find it works better when I plan exactly when I'm going to have AAM, and really commit to the day I'm starting TS too. When I go day by day, it's easy to just have another AAM day, or to stretch it beyond just AAM.

Hi cybill and crims
Thanks for the advice, glad to hear some people manage it! Yes, I'll stick with low carb/ atkins - do you allow yourself some fats/ dairy like atkins suggests or just have lean meat and veg?

Thanks cybill, its good to hear you can do that! I thin actually my first week of AAM I'll stick just to chicken/ fish and green veg, so that I don't overdo it and fall off the wagon, then will maybe add in a few other bits as the months go on. Reckon I'll be on TS for 2-3 months minimum so have plenty of time to get used to reintroducing other foods once I've got closer to my goal!
Congrats again for your amazing loss - have you done it all on exante?

Hi there, I AAM mostly at weekends to fit in with family outings ets. and I actually prefer to go back to TS, however when I do AAM I always try to have some roughage to help with the sluggish effects of VLCD. x

Yes, I've done all this weight loss on Exante. The first 4 months I was strict and just did TS and AAM type stuff, with a couple of low carb weeks when I was on holiday. Since February I've faffed a bit more, and had more to work through in my head - I got a bit scared at various points as I got to lower and lower weights, but kept persevering and finding ways back on the wagon, and trying to get all the way to a healthy weight now! I do much more of a mix of TS & WS now, some weeks much more WS, but it's still a steady loss, which works for me :)
