I have my yearly oncologists appointment in the beginning of July and rather than being worried about it I am really looking forward to it.
My friend goes with me. We drive 20 miles to the train station and get the train to Valencia from there. The day starts there. We have a ball, we never stop talking. We get the metro to the hospital .It is such an adventure for 2 country girls going to the big city.
We impatiently wait for my appointment and the appointments for my yearly mamo, chest x rays and liver ultra sound..... the doctor bit gets in the way of our day out.
Once out of the hospital we are like 2 kids, we hit the town. We treat ourselves to a very nice lunch and then the fun stuff starts with a vengeance.
Every store and boutique we can physically *do* in the time we have gets done...........oh bliss. We still have C&A here, what bargains we normally find there. Our version of Harrods is high on our list and joy of joys the sales are on. The food department is a delight.
It is a brilliant day out and was my way of taking the positive out of this situation.
