Impatient

Does anyone get really impatient with losing weight?

I only lost 0.4lb this week, I went to the gym last night and felt really good. How long do I need to keep up regular exercise before I start to see better losses?

Thank you, that's sound advice.

I don't weigh more than once a week, I locked my home scales in the garage at the bottom of the garden and I weigh at the gym on a Monday.

I think it's accepting that exercise has to become a life change and commitment and hopefully in a few weeks my body will realise this good food and exercise is actually quite nice and a good thing.

I did measure my stats a few months ago so I might do those again tonight.

I too, am guilty of being impatient, but then i think to myself that this is a 'life change' & as long as i keep at it, i will reach my goal & maintain.

After all, i was at my goal nearly 4 years ago, then slackened off & started to regain steadily until only 3 weeks ago, when i thought to myself, enough! If it took me all that time to get to that weight, i am not going to lose it overnight.

Stick with it, slowly but surely it will come off & they say that the slower you lose & get to your goal, the more likely it is that you can maintain, which is the next challenge!

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.

I think because I have been this weight for so long when I only see small losses I can't see myself getting closer to a weight I want to be. I don't have a set number in mind but I would like to first get to around 11 1/2 stone which would be a stone loss.

I didn't go to the gym last night as I worked 8am-9pm but I will be going tonight and tomorrow then I'm running a 5k on Sunday.

Hoping for a loss on Monday.
